My advice would be to spend 15 minutes a day shooting mid range shots with one hand. From picking up the ball to the release, not to use his other hand to steady the ball.Practice that flat footed, off the dribble etc.It helps give you a really sweet stroke and when you go back to using your other hand to steady the ball you are more able to hit tougher off balance shots, shots that would normally be considered lucky.
When I lived in NYC I did this and went from being one of the worst shooters the guy people would yell "no shot" to "watch him he is a shooter".It really works.
Dont listen to NYKBocker Trevor,I happen to know he gave the same advice to another rookie a few years back,he followed it and his shooting pct went down,he was cut from his team. His wife couldnt take him constantly asking "why did I listen to NYKBocker? Why?" Then would sob uncontrollably for hours. She divorced him and got the kids, the house, and the money.
He is now homeless bricking empty bottles of ripple off of garbage cans.
How could you do this to another rookie NYKBocker?
