I would take that Durant, Westbrook, and Harden team and just build up the bench. OKC made the wrong decision trading Harden right as he was blossoming. The current team is good and deeper, but it really only has one star. Everyone else is just good but not superstar level. J Williams may become a Allstar level player but he is not there yet.

They had a young Ibaka as well. They were a formidable team. Just young and there were juggernauts in the west at that time. I would bet on the old team.

Young Ibaka was quite formidable. They had Perkins also at the end of his career. They traded Harden because they had to pay him and there was not enough shots.
They made a mistake of course letting Durant walk. few stars did then and now and rules make it even harder. FO did not think he'd do it. Dude for sure is different.

A team with 3 future hall of famers in their early-mid 20s....it seems ludicrous to take any team over that, but we saw the results and they weren't quite there. The current OKC team is deep and plays amazing defense. I think I take them

Today's league is different where there is a lot of parity and we don't really have any super teams at the moment. OKC is shining in this league around one superstar and a deep supporting cast + great defense. But a legit superteam like the young Thunder would probably dominate even more today.
