Be nice to have a spring time "Garden" party for a change. Its been 25 years.
I won't be there but fans who do kind of "deserve" a nice celebration.
ITs not been an easy series given its 3-1. I won't expect tonite to be any different.
lets hope knicks can close the door on this upstart Piston team!

Man last year's closeout game 5 vs. Philly was such a nightmare. We had that game and then the Maxey turn of events was a system shock. When the team bounced back from that and won Game 6 on the road, I felt they were capable of doing anything, but soon after the injuries became too much.

I think we need to minimize the no. of games as much as possible. We have them on the ropes. They are a young and inexperienced team. They are on the road. We have the advantage and we can't give them life.

Detroit fans: the foul baiting is not fair! Its ridic!
Also Detroit fans: I cant believe we didnt get the call when our jumped into the defender on a desperation heave

Yeah the crybaby attitude is getting old now. They have a bonehead in game coach. He has taken no accountability for blowing their challenge. These guys have been trashtalking the Knicks all series. Knicks haven't said one word.

man I REALLY hope we can close it tonight. I would actually feel pretty good about the Boston series. Not because I think we win, but because I have seen a legit extra playoff gear for KAT/Bridges and I think that really gives us a punchers chance.

KAT demands to be played physically and he likes that. I think he really takes it KP/Horford and I am there for it.

Can you call timeout and ask for a replay when the game ended for a no call? Challenge something that technically did not happen?

The best way to counter all the talk about referees is to just bounce these guys in 5. Nobody gets "cheated" when they lose in 5.

Been so long Detroit fans don't know how to be cool.
We been there too. Admit it.

Bottom line is Cade could have hit that shot and put them ahead. He did not.
Refs call it consistent and perhaps if they got that call a whole bunch previously would have gone against them.
Cade was cool. Just not cool enough yet. Kat rose to the moment. Im sure Pistons and their fans were hurting.
We been there. We know the feeling. Good lord we got how many years of Jordan rules? Miami suspension? Charles Smith mugged?

WE the better team this time and got respect from refs for how the game was played that night. Yes, Timmy technically was fouled. There was contact. He also leaned into it a bit. HE flayed looking for contact. As SAS said "It didn't work".

Maybe Silver wanted Knicks/Boston also. OK. He should. We got stars and have good brand of ball. Makes for good theatre.

Yeah, we've been there.

No ill will against Detroit. Annoyed with Bickerstaff, and amused watching Ausar talking **** and looking mostly unimpressive. But I get it. I'd be outright pissed in their shoes, technicalities (back court rules) and context (no blood, no foul) aside. Let them vent after a painful loss, I don't really care (one of the perks to winning).

These have been 4 very hard fought games. Respect to them. Any of the games could have swung either way, but Knicks so far clearly look like the veteran team.

Still need to close out, and hope that happens tonight, but I don't expect getting this last win will be easy. JB and KAT have showed up - but seeing if they can close will be the next test for this team.

yeah this is my take. I dont buy any of that "more competitive that it should be" bull****. Detroit has done everything they could and key guys missed a lot of shots the first couple of games.

So far this series is a huge positive for me as I have seen Mikal and KAT show they have another (playoff) gear. KAT may not be a good defender but he's absolutely elevated his effort and impact. He's making tons of plays just being huge and athletic and that is so wildly important for what we do.

Mikal has also elevated his defensive game. Dude has been flying around doing everything on that side of the ball. He's been an utter menace on that side of that ball.

I dont think we beat Boston but I suddenly feel like they way those two are playing we have a puncher's chance I didnt think we had before. I always have confidence in OG/Brunson/Josh doing what they do and impacting the game. I like KAT/Mikal.. they are our guys, but their pure extra effort in this series has elevated my opinion of them.

They clearly did some coasting during the regular season but they also played a million minutes. Coach used to always yell at me for walking to the dugout from the outfield when the inning was over. "Cmon Mike hustle!" I was always like phuck that man Im tired from flying around covering all the ground these pudgies you play around me cant. But then again I'm not a pro athlete so there's that

I think if we weather the early Detroit storm and keep it close at the half we will be good as pressure shifts to Detroit and the shooting gets "tight."

That said if we win I still think Celts are simply better/deeper and we play them close but lose 4-1 (at best 4-2).

Anyone post this? Just rips apart Detroit’s defense.
