Randle no way is better overall player than 1st yr. Knick Towns a great talent.

However younger Towns, will be in trouble in NBA playoffs unless he WILLs his talent/force
and game changing on some facet of the Hoops game. I ain't talking about just offensive.

We can say this & that & this & that about the former Knick Randle.
But ya know what? Randle would be mixing it up with PISTONs, with PACERs with any star NBA hoop guy
or big teams Celtics, Cavs.

UNLESS Knicks get that force of direction from player OR coaching KNICKs exit from NBA playoffs will be
FAST and dissappointing. ANY pro sport if more than talent, its will, teamwork, hustle plays and adjustment.

Other than Rick Brunson and perhaps Josh Hart THERE are no tough Knicks on squad, Tom Thibs can't address it
since his system is one-way HIS way or highway.

O.G and Mitch Robinson is capable and does things NOT in BOXSCORE so they are excused from my argument point, cause its
TEAM GAME 1st last and always. BOTH O.G and MITCH earn $$$ their paycheck even without boxscore stats with hustle, D' and what it
takes to cover the knicks flaws. This applies too! to smaller NBA superstar R.Brunson, who can miss 4 easy shots in a row & nail next
7 shots, free throws and attitude Brunson shows as primary leader

I like Thibs but he may be on his way out, unless Knicks give him 1 yr. more chance, with MSG Knicks mgmt. Rose and brass
get the changes to complement the star players. Ric Brunson cannot do everything & he is likely the toughest Knickerbocker
without the HELP and adjustments to what other teams are doing to Knickbockers.

Knicks are soft but Towns is MUCH better than Randle. The biggest issue is Towns is a C and Randle is a pure PF. So it leaves our defense exposed. But Towns is much better.

Our team is definitely soft. Hart, OG, Mitch are probably our toughest players in terms of bball toughness (not macho guy toughness necessarily). So we would have to see how badly they can punk us with those guys in tow.

We definitely need some tough reinforcements on the squad next year.

Randle's value around the league is very low --- T-Wolves would move on but nobody is going to offer poo for him.

I do agree with Knicks he opposed his will on game more than Kat but that was to our detriment.

Team didn't take off until OG arrived --- I still remember the Julius/RJ days with meaningless buckets and lots of losses.

I am talking about 1 game at time or series effort. IN NO WAY is Julius ever better than Towns. I'd be crazy. However Towns is big time player whom has not made a difference vs teams under Thibs. Last season he wasnt here and NY would not have so many losses to the CAVs, CELTs and PISTONs type of game and improvement. Don't believe THIBs is sole fault & cannot fire a team... Something is wrong when your/MY Good record NYKnicks is nearly O' For VS. CELTICS VS. CAVs and now the hottest improved team D.PISTONS of the NBA. NYK better show up in one of these series at least. Ain't seeing it OR Feeling it for a great W/L NYK Team who may exit the NBA 2025 playoffs faster than a speeding bullet!

Going back to Celtics teams of 2022, 2023 & 2024-2025 yr. reg. season and NBA playoffs

2022-2023 NBA season, the Boston Celtics defeated the New York Knicks in a 4-0 sweep. The Celtics won all four games played against the Knicks.
Been downhill from 2022 ever since then to now , NYK got kicked around by Boston Celtics

DJ, no need to apologize to anyone. Also, Julius haters ignore facts, so attempting to change minds won't get you far.

But since I'm a glutton, here are some facts anyway...


2020-2021:
MIP Julius turns the franchise around after 20+ years of us not being a serious franchise. Sorry, Melo.
We can't breathe on Trae in the playoffs (the NBA even changes the rules to address game-breaking flopping).
Atlanta plays great defense, and there is nobody for Julius to pass to. Watch the tape.

2021-2022:
Leon screws the pooch by signing two historically bad Knicks.
Michael Jordan could not have won with that team.

2022-2023:
JB comes to NY because of dad, and Julius Randle.
The year of Bam Adebayo taking down NBA players. Including Julius' ankle on March 29th, right before the playoffs.
Julius is a shell of himself, and ankle surgery right after the playoffs.
Bonus fact... Leons lays an egg by signing iHart to two years.

2023-2024:
Awful start to the season, Julius still coming back from surgery.
Back to All Star status by January, one of the best months of Knicks basketball in 20 years. Including a win over Minny and Towns.
We are a great mix of skill, defense, and bully ball. Championship incoming.

2024-2025:
Leon screws the pooch. To the delight of Julius haters. Made possible by... Julius Randle.
We are back to a team that no other franchise takes seriously, or is concerned about playing 7 games against.

Are you saying Knicks got KAT because of his playoff prowess? You may want to look at his play against the Mavs last year. May be reason they got rid of him.

Problem with Randle haters is they expected him to play like a $50M plus top 10 players at all times.

Well . We have a $50m player.
One making $40M next year.
And one that cost most of our Number ones.
So let’s see how they do in the playoffs?!

Randle was far from top 10. Lots of bad habits. Mentally weak at times. But brought Knicks to relevance when every other decent player avoided us like the plague . Put up decent numbers despite having no support and was a great value in terms of production vs cost. Loved playing in NY, was a bull around the basket and had some good years. No reason any Knick fan should have treated him so badly.

Randle is an incredible talent, would love to see him with the roster we have now with towns … but I’d take towns all day every day … also Randle wants his bag .
