First off, I want to point out that in their last 10 games, Cleveland is 5-5. Next I want to point out that Boston is 4 games behind Cleveland right now. Their (Boston) last 7 games are pretty much one against us and the rest are all lottery/tanking teams so they can certainly go 7-0 against them. Cleveland has 7 games left, but two of them are against us, two of them are against the Pacers, and then some lotto teams (Spurs, Kings, and Bulls). We could help boost Boston by 2.5 games if we beat the Cavs in our 2 games against them and then lose our game to the Celtics. After that, we have a chance if the Pacers can win hopefully both of their games against them or at least one, and the Spurs who beat them last week can beat them again.
It might be a bit of a long shot, but there’s a chance that it’s not set in stone that we’ll be facing Boston in round 2. The question is who would own the tiebreaker since the Cavs/Celts went 2-2? In any case, tonight is a must win game and our next meeting with Cavs is a must win game if we are going to make this happen. The most perfect scenario for us is having the Bucks in the first round and then having the Cavs in the second round. I truly believe we can beat them in a playoff series if 100% healthy. Stranger things have happened in the NBA so let’s not give up hope.
