You know what? I have come to like this team , warts and all. Yes, there are things we are not doing consistently on O( cutting, assisting and fast breaks)
Yes, there are things we suck at on d( we don't box out , except for Mitch and we don't always close out strong on 3 point shooters)
Yes, we rely too much on ISO.

However, even with all these things weighting us down we find a way to win( except against those top 3 teams in the league, but still)
It really pains me when we are trying to get a defensive board, noone looks for an opposing player to box out and it's an adventure every time trying to rebound. But we try so hard , regardless. Our guys are starting to trust one another, and Brunson just puts us on his back and carries us to victory most of the time. Yes we get very few easy buckets, but we power through. I am just really in awe of how our guys play , despite the obvious problems on O and D. It's a sight to behold, really. I look forward to every game. I really like this team.

Expectations ruin fun times for many fans. Not me. I’ve come to appreciate the well run consistent team more and more. I know titles are everything but we’ve gotten so jaded and dependent on the whole title or bust mentality and that’s not only unfair to the teams you root for but also a sure fire way to live in perpetual misery. Also, maybe worry about the lost title when it happens not 2-3 months prior.

Live in the moment. It’s hard to win for years on end. Since 2020 this franchise has done just that with only the 2nd season (21) being the lone exception. Celebrate this team. They play hard they play together snd they win. On pace for the most regular season wins since 1997. Don’t tell me they aren’t improved they played all season with no front court depth and still on pace to better last season.

Worry about the playoffs when they come. If the Knicks fail to win in late spring the front office will adjust and explore everything. They are well positioned.

Every other week you hate a player or want to fire coach or something, so there is that too, and It’s not un-similar to others.

Knicks have a very very good team and have almost linearly improved both from a talent and growth perspective as well as record wise from year to year.

Enjoy it, this is the best iteration of the team for like 30 years and it’s happening in real time.

It’s a process. I’m loving it.

Well, I actually have not said any hateful things about any of our players in a very very long time, if ever. When I say Mitch needs to learn what to do at the free throw line - that's just constructive criticism, a very healthy and productive type of feedback. When I said that Bridges needs to do something, anything ". perhaps do that celebration of his on misses" it was just a joke, no hate there. With Thibs it's love and hate. 99.9% love for 3-4 years he has been here( yes, plenty of constructive criticism during that time from me, but that's because I obviously know better than a Hall of Fame( future?)coach :)

What I meant by this thread is that I have come to turns with the shortcomings of this team and I realized that I am still really enjoying watching them. ( No homo, no Diddy)
