Kind of interesting point. Look at Channing going off! Im not sure all will agree with it but there is some valid points. We do it on the UK all the time. We hate on players for being empowered for things the could not do, or not economically feasible to do but now can.

In my opinion, the game was more fun to watch back then. So what he is talking about is missing the point. Basketball now is filled with flops, free throws, moving screens, carries and travelings. I don't care how much more we score now when the rules was bent so much to favor offenses.

there was just more variety in playstyle. Always amazes me that a guy like Okafor with his elite footwork and postgame that was a joy to watch in college couldn't even carve out a career in this modern NBA.
and players played more and seemed to care more and try harder on defense.
