Should we freak out about Bridges?

19 games in - he is non-entity on defense, he is a turnover machine and he's an atrocity shooting the basketball. We gave up 6 first rounders for him. All we needed from him is good defense and Corner 3s, with the occasional creation off the bounce. Suns Bridges not Nets Bridges.

Now is literally killing us out there. Do we bench him? Do we take him out of the rotation for a bit? Do we trade him? Do we just stay the course. WHAT DO WE DO??????

This move literally closes our championship window if he continues to play like this as it cost all of our draft capital and the Towns deal closed our cap flexibility. I'm not freaking out about Towns (even if wasn't great today or the game before), but I haven't seen any signs of Bridges being useful.

Thank the lord he didnt decide to extend this offseason...but we'll have to see what to do.

Hartenstein needed a lot of time when he first got here, but he was a 23 yr old, inexperienced guy. This is an NBA vet with a ton of playoff experience and an NCAA champion. What is going on?

What we need from Bridges is pretty low so I’m willing to give him a full season. Thibs is known for getting the best out of everyone and I think he’ll get Bridges right

I’d ask “Why wouldn’t you?”

You have to go back to his Phoenix time for hope. Last year with Brooklyn wasn’t the best and right now it’s like the trend is falling even faster. Every game he looks the same.

Yes, Bridges is a problem right now.

Bridges is missing open shots, throwing passes to nowhere. He is in his own head. Hoping that soon he has a great game and he regains his confidence

1) We know what Mikal is capable of. Yeah, he is struggling, it he will work it out.
2) Even if you don’t give Mikal the benefit of the doubt, gotta believe Thibs will get this team straight.
3) Mikal has to remember how to get downhill and work off the gravity surround him.

I'm lil concerned about OG's last two performances too. 8 points in both games and looks like he is thinking too much.

Do you guys remember some of RJ’s slumps? Bridges current slump has nothing on that. This stuff is not that abnormal.

I'm still thinking, as I thought from the beginning that Hart + Bridges + OG is not the desired 2-3-4 players. At the time, though I thought it would be Hart to the bench for Precious. Even though I thought Bridges was an overpay (something which Martin made sure to call me "insane" for thinking), I didn't expect him to come off the bench. Now I don't know WHO should be starting. If Precious over Bridges, we have no real 2 guard in the line up. At this point, I would 100% trade Mikal for DVD and hope he could round back into the shape he was in with us last year - only I don't think we're allowed to.

I definitely have made the statement that no sane person in the NBA thinks Mikal was only marginally better than DDV.

It might make sense for you to quote me instead of whatever you are trying to do.

Both players have played poorly this year.
