Definitely worth noting that he’s becoming a sniper from all around the arc and also hitting them while contested. Almost DDVish the way he’s shooting this year.

The most surprising thing about KAT is how good of a passer he is. I had no idea. The wrap around pass at that angle and he hit Hart right in his shooting pocket with enough force to get there before the defense can react is amazing.

His skill level on offense is off the charts. Sometimes he does things that are truly astonishing. He is locked in right now - just needs to keep his head and stay out of foul trouble. Easier said then done, but I feel like Thibs has done some good things over time with foul prone players.

I think the reason we all have anxiety/disappointment right now, aside from expectations, is that at times we have looked REALLY good, not just regular good, and the results are mediocre. 4 games this year where down the stretch we were close or leading and really blew it - Cavs, Rockets, Hawks, Pacers. Turn 2 of those into wins and we're 7-3 and we are quibbling about the magnitude of how far the arrow is pointed up. Last night wasn't close to our best game and our best player is at 60% form. We still have a ways to go to hit our stride. Fortunately you are asking for adjustments and improvements from guys like Brunson and Thibs who never stop working.

I watched game at Applebees but more so I had drinks at Applebees while chatting with the bartender, so I was distracted. No Sydney Sweeney but maybe her mom?

Question: If you the FO, do you think the Knicks still need Mitch Beast or will they trade him?

The question I have is how does Precious fit when he comes back. If Precious is adequately providing interior D and rebounding in the rotation for 20-25 mins a night as and is more of an offensive threat (more range than 2 feet), than the need for Mitch is not as high.

I think we have to consider - KAT is a massive foul trouble risk. Having 3-4 playable bigs is gonna be important. Right now we're playing 1 + Sims. Getting Precious and Mitch back gets us to 3.

Good team win! I just wished it was on MSG! If I have to hear about Jared McCain one more time I might lose it!

I know Maxey is out (blame Thibs!) and that big orc goof Embiid just came back but they get zero sympathy from me! A win is a win! Held them to 99 points on 37%, 14/42 from three, outrebounded them 47-40 and outscored them 33-24 in the 4th.

Game ball goes to OG with 24/6. He was mini Kawhi out there! 6 total dunks! Fingers crossed he can finally stay healthy. I cringe every time he goes to the floor. KAT started the game off red hot with those two 3s and should've been an And1. He really took this match up with Embiid seriously. You can tell there is something there. And kudos to the zebras for allowing KAT to body and check Embiid. KAT is also starting to display some sick passing which will open up our offense even more. Brunson struggled in the first half but finished strong with 10 points in the 4th. I thought he was going be out a few weeks with that ankle but of course he's Mr. Toughness. I will say if he isn't feeling great today, he should sit out tonight vs the Bulls. It's a long season and no reason to risk it.

Hart with a triple double and hit some big shots. He just loves playing against these guys. Deuce with 15 off the bench and Bridges had some moments as well. Surprised to see Ryan out there. He didn't do much of anything but we need a body out there. And kudos to Sims. He's picked it up lately. And double kudos to that assistant coach that was responsible for that challenge. Wished I remembered his name! But that sealed the win for us after that. You can also add Embiid celebrating. We went on a run after that idiot did that.

OG: $36.5M $39.5M $42.5 $45.5 $48.5M

OR

PG: $49M $51.5M $54M $56.5M

Player option on last year of each. Philly could have outbid NY easily.

Josh Hart is actually the key to the team in a lot of ways and I know there's a lot of start/bench conversation on him, but I'm not sure he can be off the floor. At this point, he is playing the Hartenstein role of breaking the trap on Brunson AND he's the only initiator of fast breaks on the team. When teams leave him he's not stuck at the 3 point line, he's in motion, pressuring the paint and creating more opportunities.

Ideally when Bridges gets more comfortable in the offense, he can also play this role, but he has been shaky as a ballhandler and has had some out of sync passes.

We need in great shape and mind right Mitch - yes. He does come with down side of how does his offense impact overall offense.

The difficult part is do you trust (keep) Mitch and he gets hurt again.

In summer my assumption was he is gone and never plays again but I just don't know what they are going to do. I think front office would move off him BUT Thibs may save him.

Remember - he can help defensively but he will hurt offensively and all the spacing & Kat drives we are seeing kind of get negated with Mitch. That said 20 minutes of in-shape Mitch is a nice thought.

First 2 years of the deal you still have to say PG, and with Embiid's health and age (at 30 his peak may not last THAT much longer with the recurring injuries), he was the play for Philly. That said after our series against them I was convinced Philly was gonna make a play for OG and it was probably one of the main reasons why we needed to up the ante. Once Philly was playing in the 40mm range, going for the surefire star in PG probably made the most sense given the cost delta.

Embiid's gonna need some time to recover from whatever it is he's got these days, but the level of discomfort he appeared to be in last night would be really troubling if I was a Philly fan. He was an absolute shell of himself. We're worried about our stars not coming together, but they are 2-8, have injury issues and they need to hope Embiid was just thrown off by the blue floor last night and isn't permanently broken.

Remember when we all thought Grimes would be our steal in that draft

Now I want to see McBride shoot. Kid is all business

Hope we continue to put things together. And to see the chicken littles revise their estimates upwards in the hang your ass thread

Not sure I like the Tournament floor thing but the players look far more detailed against the blue last night. Their feet were more visible and it the movements more pronounced.
The graphics? thats one issue, but the dark floor on TV was very good.
