We are prime to pick up someone via Waivers incase of emergency. Taj is usually that guy.
We need a new Taj or Herb Williams.
If its time to play rooks that have no NBA experience better early than later. Young teams lack experienced and talented players. Note when GSW, Heat, and other great teams of the past bring in young players they do well and we like "Why can't we do that". When teams rebuild with just young players more times than not its a tough process.
WE have experienced talent! Mixing in rooks with high end players could protect deficiencies and at the same time a great learning process. If it don' work and we lose some games, well thats part of a long season too!
When we bought in RJ, Frank, and Knox were were not rostered like we are now. You bring those guys in as rooks they might not play, but if they did they are on the court with much better players than what we had.
Bringing in players who have not practiced or know the system are not quick fixes either. Waiver cast offs are not quick fixes. I'd think we promote from Westchester.
You roll with what you got. There is an upside also to consider.
