I didn't know his cousin and sister died. I thought they were just sick......it was his girl and his mom that was sick.

sheezus......

Still.....he is playing basketball. The grieving process should be different. He's rich as compared to being borderline about to rob a bank like me. What he is going though in his personal life is tough though. Still if you have the summer off and 14 mill a year to spend on it then it's easier.

On the flip side he was heavily training this summer and is supposedly having an affair on his wife. He did drop 23 in preseason in limited minutes. I think his little slump is due to the change in offense.....the offense seems geered for him and I don't think he was ready for that.

Well 17pts, 5 rebs, good defense......maybe he will finally snap out of it and play his 2 hr job.

So now you can put a value on people's lives? A cosuknm and a sister = less thn 14 mil... so he should just get over it? His "affair" means what now?

I swear the idiocy on this board never ends.

I like what I've been seeing from TT defensively the past couple of games.

Everyone knows my views on that Tim Thomas - Keith Van Horn trade. Everyone says he finally broke out of the slump with his 17 points a couple days ago (meanwhile Keith Van Horn is quietly AVERAGING 17.5 points for the season). But because he is having real problems off the court i really try to go easy on him. Last season was different because he was inconsistent for his career and thats when he really needed the boos, but i dont blame him for being in a slump. Hopefully things will improve for Tim Thomas.

I hope TT broke out of his slump yesterday. If the real TT (the 16/5 player we had last year) is the player we have for the rest of the season, that would make a huge difference. The team might be 8-4 right now if the 16/5 TT had been here this year. If we get that 16/5 player back and get Houston back, it would be like getting two huge additions to a team that's already playing okay at 6-6.

But I definitely have sympathy for him and his situation. I'm not criticizing him for his slump this year because I think it's understandable. Maybe he should have taken a leave of absence until he was ready. I don't blame him for wanting to go out and help the team, though, even if he wasn't mentally ready for it.

there's no way TT is going to average 16 & 5 this year when you have JCraw, Stephon, KT, Nazr & Houston who are going to be getting shots as well as the bench players like Penny, Sweets & Ariza getting shots at times as well...

besides, how can anyone tell if the "real TT" is the 16/5 player the Knicks had last year, or the 12/4 player he's been over his entire career?
