Kevin Garnett: I don't think anybody in this generation could have played 20 years ago

Kevin Garnett: “If I’m being honest, bro, I don’t think anybody in this generation could have played like 20 years ago. If I’m being 100, and this is to Ant, this is to everybody in our league—Tatum, all y’all—let me tell y’all something, bro. Twenty years ago, bro, you couldn’t get to a triple step back. You hear what I’m saying to you? You couldn’t get to a triple step back. And then if you shot that [expletive], it had to go in. You know why? Because we had efficiency, back in the day, my dude, and it was so [expletive] hard. It was too physical, and guess what? The league had to come off of it for the flow of movement to be able to have scoring go up, which is why we like to sit here and watch kind of the rat race of the high-paced game right now.” – via YouTube

Kevin Garnett: “Man, the levels in which you had to be not only strong enough but skilled enough to get by this [expletive] in front of you, you understand? They ain’t never seen a 6’7” Rodman guard you. Bro, I see you, and you know you in the scout report. We know you go left; we know you can finish right, but you go left to pull up. Bro, everybody knows. Watching the games back then—Isaiah Thomas and then the Dumars—Dumars shut Jordan down, bro. They were coming to the lane, bro. You might get your nose broke trying to dunk. You understand? Dwyane Wade broke Kobe’s nose in the All-Star game, man. Bro, it was just different. It was very different back then.”

every generation has a few dudes that loves telling the young guys they ain't **** compared to when they roamed the earth.
The rumor of KG telling Timmy Duncan "Happy mothers day" in a playoff game knowing his mom died when he was 14 IF TRUE is the coldest **** I ever heard.
Never been debunked or verified to my knowledge. I respect his game but was never a fan or a hater. As a celtic he was annoying. Not like pierce.

Wasn’t it rumored he told Melo, who he was friends with, that his wife La La’s hoo hah tasted like honey nut cheerios during a game. I remember that game. Melo really went at Garnet and he wasn’t playing. Didn’t he follow him all the way out to the bus?

Ok, but thats funny. Why?
Dudes be disrespecting wifes is not cool, and it crosses the line, but perhaps KG knows first hand? If so, yeah, that's bad.
Still not cool, but Melo did get caught cheating on La La so in the end its buffered in my book.
KG got in his head so he succeeded in unhinging Melo.
"Honey Nut Cherios"........Thats funny too!!!!
Losing your mom to cancer at age 14, thats rough. Timmy had that death stare thing going. I can imagine KG (if true) had to know he crossed the line and Timmy by not saying anything could have unnerved him? Its been said the two have never gotten along and were not happy to be inducted same year to HOF. How is it now? I don't know.

how gross is Cap'n Crunch with them Cold sore "Berries"????

Rice crispies? That Snap-Crackle-Pop thing is cool but the mascots are a turn off.
Grape nuts? Maybe grapes and nuts don't give me a visual I want.
Cream of Wheat? Maybe.

Winner? Has to be "Lucky charms"! They are magically delicious once those soft marshmallows do their thing!

I liked Mueslix from the 70s-80s. It had a lot more nuts in them. When I visited my Grandmother, she had Cap'n Crunch and Count Chocula for me. was a treat. No sugary cereals at home.

Started eating cereal for breakfast again for the first time in many years. This granola is really good. I like the cranberry pecan.

I've tried Purely Elizabeth before while searching for cereals. It's good but I'm not a big granola guy. I eventually settled on Magic Spoon, because it kind of give me the illusion that I'm eatinthe g regular sugary stuff.

I don't dislike granola man, it's just that it will never be my go to cereal. Also wouldn't be surprised if Purely Elizabeth is quietly owned by Quaker.

More lies from the corporate industrial cereal complex! I heard Magic Spoon was founded by "Tricky Dick"!

Better off making a Whey protein shake for breakfast. Add cinnamon and peanut butter and banana for taste.

Coaching matters

The term ‘analyzing’ really hits the mark here. This is the most in-depth breakdown I’ve seen on this subject. Here are my key takeaways: Calling a timeout stops the opponent’s run about 66% of the time (21,649 out of 32,830), focusing on the first three quarters since late-game timeouts are used differently. There’s a solid positive correlation (0.44) between a team’s win percentage and the length of their run after a timeout, showing that better teams generally make the most of their timeouts. And when it comes to efficiency after timeouts, the Miami Heat absolutely dominate, appearing three times in the top 8 teams—including the top two spots. Erik Spoelstra is the undisputed King of timeouts. – via NBA Librarian

Seems like the Lakers get to the FT line more than any other team also. I’m not a conspiracy theory guy but the league does look like it favors the Lakers

We looked up all regular season games since 2004-05 (when the league expanded to 30 teams) to find out. The main takeaway: The Lakers score a major win with the fewest back-to-backs in the league in the last 20 years at just 336. (For context, the Clippers had 382, which amounts to 2.3 more per season on average.) – via HoopsHype

I know this isn’t our situation but we really need to not trade any more 1st round picks

Tim MacMahon: There wasn’t a real market for Trae Young and he doesn’t necessarily need to reestablish a trade market for himself, but as as extension talks are coming I think he does have to reestablish his value. But honestly he it’s a bad situation in Atlanta because the Hawks are in a position where they should be entering what would hopefully be kind of a rapid rebuild but they can’t, because the Spurs have all their draft capital. So they’re in this awkward situation where you know they should be unloading more pieces but it’s just not something that you can’t bottom out to make the Spurs better.

The NJ Sixers?

Seeking to lure the Philadelphia 76ers across the river, New Jersey is offering up to $400 million in tax credits and outlining plans for a sprawling mixed-use waterfront development. In a letter dated Monday, Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration said it envisioned a multibillion-dollar plan in the city of Camden featuring residential, commercial and retail properties, with the Sixers as an anchor. The pitch from Economic Development Authority CEO Tim Sullivan comes as the team and Philadelphia negotiate over a future $1.3 billion arena the team had announced for the city’s Chinatown neighborhood. The team has said it doesn’t plan to stay at the Wells Fargo Arena in the city’s stadium district past 2031 when its lease is up. – via ESPN

I think we can be glad Evan didn’t take the job and make Washington a bigger loser since we own the Washington pick protected 1-11 and there is still a shot the they are improved enough with their offseason additions

Evan Fournier turned down two-year contract from Wizards; not interested in mentoring role with "losing team"

Maxime Aubin: Evan Fournier said he was offered a 2 years contract with the Wizards in NBA, but he wasn’t interested in a “mentoring role” with the youngsters, “in a losing team”. Added he wants to “compete” in Europe and “enjoy playing basketball again”. Reported by @lequipe & @FirstTeam101. – via Twitter

lol. Taking shots from Jordan Poole is probably an increase in net rating regardless of how bad Fournier is.
