There's been some discussions about Clint Capella circulating. I actually think he would be a GREAT fit for this team. What do you all think? What would it take to get him?

Nalod did bring this up a few months back not based on any rumor but because of the type of player/fit with this team and his contract. so I think its not a bad idea on a short term thing if ATL is not going to be greedy.
He and Mitch make a formable duo.
Maybe as a buy out later in the season if ATL can work it out with him?

I thought we can pay Prescious any amount - we have the bird rights - it's the caps and their penalties that I think would stop us.

I mean, he has 1 year on his contract. Do you rent him for 1 year?

Perhaps Prescious & McBride and some draft picks?

Capella makes 22mi. I don't see a trade here. He on his last year of that deal.

No to Capela.

Unless he dies his hair orange and blue.

Then still probably no.

Saw something that combines Deuce, Achiewa (S&T) and a trade exception. No idea if that is could work.

Would rather wait until near the deadline to see what shakes out. Maybe Capella will be waived and vet min opportunity later in the year if Atlanta tanks?

Agree. Looking at the Hawks future draft picks, I’m guessing they would ask for a first rounder in a trade. We can’t afford it for maybe a one year rental. Could see his asking price being too much to stay. Capella also might prefer to go to a team where he can start.

I would start Capella.
He's more versatile than Mitch and we can limit Mitchell's minutes to mitigate injuries until the playoffs.
I'm guessing a deal wouldn't get done unless they could agree to an extension

Makes sense. Still believe Hawks would ask for a FRP. Especially since Capella would stay in the East. Agree that they would have to agree to an extension. Especially if a FRP is part of the asking price.
