We are all anonymous here. You don't know me. You know nothing about me, how I may feel, whether I am chill or angry, my family, my finances, my situation, my politics, my job, my friends nor how policies at a POTUS level may impact me in a positive or negative way. Based on that level of somewhere between zero and very low information, why would you think it prudent to make recommendations regarding peace, mental health or what I should do with my time?

Further - this I see as one of the biggest problems in society and elections with the emergence of social media. Low information opinions and recommendations have become wide spread.

So far his selections for key appointments are indicative of Trump trying to do everything he promised his base. It will be a fevered, severe, and incompetent roll out of his policies in the next two years. All of us will suffer in some way. But his base will simply blame the Democrats at first for any failures. It's a cult and until they feel the damage themselves they won't believe. It's a dystopian reality. However, no argument no matter how sound will sway his supporters. It will take at least a few years before any sense will befall the electorate. The right has thoroughly obliterated a concept of knowledge and qualifications in administration. It be hysterical actually if I was not going to suffer along with them. Thing is Dems can't let those who voted for Trump have it with " I told you so " at the risk of being wrong for supporting MAGA, this bunch will just double down and we need these voters to change their minds. Can't be obnoxious to the Trump supporters. Will have to be as gentle to them as possible cause any perception of browbeating them and they will support his Maga successors. It's going to be very hard the next few years and the DNC can't fall into the traps MAGA will set up to make them look like the cause of the calamities to come

What we have just undergone is an angry populist take over. Destruction and vengeance is what the mandate was for. War is agreeable. Half of America said the hell with justice, they want to see some other group pay. For now the collective good is over as a prime directive of the three branches of Federal Govt.
