not saying I totally want this, but its rooted in some reality:

Brandon Ingram makes 33mil or there abouts. Thats Bojan and Mitch money. Mitch is a back up. There is more to send them I get, but the money works. What does Nola want and need? Not wings. Bojan is a further chip to trade or they start mixing things up.
Mitch is a back up making back up money now. A team that can keep him healthy for a playoff run would have a gem of player.
Still might be us. Im not enthusiastic about his trade value. Love the guy. I'd be sad. DDV to the bench, Ingram is the 2.

Paul George. Is there a way to keep Randle, OG, Brunson, etc and Add him? Doubt it. But for Randle? Need to figure more money out but at 6-9 he is the glamor wing. He 34, will want big money, and I'd rather have Randle, but..........Its rooted in some reality.

Do I love any of these? Not a dream starphuck but they are at best plausible.
Klay? Im hearing Warriors offered 2 years at 30mil each. Im not trading Randle for him. with DDV, why we need Klay?
Bojan can do the same thing and might be a better player at the moment. I'd say its not rooted in much reality unless many things change.

We don’t need Klay. I thought he would have been a nice piece to get, that might bring heady veteran play - but we have Josh Hart and DDV and they do more than anything Klay could do. And that doesn’t even get to the money!

And even if he took a vet min deal- we need guys that are 6’7” and taller, not more tiny guys who we already have a plethora of.

Klay is better than OG, is nowhere near as injury prone and his contract will be about half the guaranteed money. We should have never traded RJ and IQ for OG and now we are about to get locked into a bad long term deal with him. I’d rather get a clutch superstar who knows what it takes to win a championship and will actually be available for games

But yeah let’s double down on a guy who might play 50 games a year

Not disputing anything you are saying, but the Klay of today is no longer the Klay that you are referring to. So, no way.

Klay was better. Hindsight.
Klay missed two full seasons. Then third missed 50 games.
Not like his career has been injury free either.
OG chemistry post trade was incredible.
RJ and IQ were not taking us places.
We might lose him but then was have cap space and other things to do. Like other teams have experienced and then succeeded.
You can't take risks and be bold then whine if it don't work.
WE all rather have a clutch superstars that knows how to win. Klay is 34.
Perhaps at 15-16 mil for two years off the bench?

I think it’s perfectly fine to question signing the oft missing OG to a big long contract. The league is littered with these signings biting teams on the ass. However as a January Knicks loyalist, I say go for it. What’s the worst that could happen?

Probably still much better than what we knew not long ago.

The Paul George numbers being mentioned at age 34 seems nutty.
I get his still has it. Philly should go for it.
Jimmy Butler at age 35 set to make 48mm this year and 52 with a player option for next.
He wants an extension! He can make 100mil in next two years then be unrestricted at age 37. does he really think he is still going to be the **** in two more years?

Jimmy wants out? they want him out? seems the "heat culture cult" has kink in the chain?
