I’d guess some variation on Mitch/Bogey, Deuce would be considered with picks.

Where is your line?

Switch out Mitch for Bogey and I do this in a heartbeat.

Bogey+Deuce+ 3 first round picks.

BUT....then some combo of DDV/Hart and Mikal are your backup PG in most tight rotation nights.

Im not sure I go bigger for Mikal unless we OG is asking for 40mm.

Well, Bill Simmons latest trade value column had Randle at 49 and Mikal at 31, so maybe Randle and a pick gets it done. LOL.

Anyway, I'm not going to die on this hill. If expirings and a boat load of picks gets it done, that's clearly the way to go. There will just be a huge minutes crunch when all are healthy.

I guess the big question here would be who are we bidding against? They’ve already turned down offers for Bridges. Does anyone remember what was being offered and by who because I don’t. Wing players are in demand so I think the cost is going to be high. Is Brooklyn doing a tear down?

I think Mikal can actually play the 2 although it does not seem like a perfect fit. But I don't think you will find many 2s he would have trouble guarding. With that in mind I think you just open the treasure trove of picks along with Deuce and Bogie. 4 firsts or something like that. Hudson River tax applies.

Brunson - Mikal - OG - Randle - iHart
DDV - Hart - Mitch

Need a backup PG. Obviously DDV and Hart probably will not be thrilled to move to the bench and get 20 mins a night. It's hard for anyone on this team to deny the necessity of legit depth after this season though.

I like the magic that Brunson, Hart & DD have brought to the Villanova Knicks, and am intrigued by adding one more to see if they as a group can win a chip.

But if you are watching the Celts/Pacers, it’s Obi Toppin and TJ McConnell we should be trying to steal away from the Pacers!

Bogs + McBride+ 3/4 picks should do it. I would include McBride just for the good of his career because with Mikal, he's never seeing the court.

I think Mikal should be our #1 target this offseason. He fits with the defensive movement, gives us additional OG insurance, and doesn't command the ball too much

McBride, Bogey and 5 1st round picks is what it’s going to take. Which allows them to use the mid level and bring everyone back.

Allows the nets to have 9 1st rounders and use them for Mitchell and someone else. Nets have to save face big time after the debacle.

Think he gets moved to Houston though unfortunately. But if it’s what Brunson wants and he’s going to take substantially less to be here, you do it without hesitation.

I like Bridges a lot but not sure we are strong enough at the PF spot with just OG and Precious managing that position. Bridges is really good so I would do a deal but can't see the Nets seriously entertaining Bogey, Deuce and picks...think it would have to be Randle (although they would probably want Hart, DDV, etc - which we won't part with I hope) as they would need some scoring punch on a reasonable contrack coming back. I don't think Bridges is worth Randle, salary and 3 #1 picks but I think the Knicks would do this type of deal if it's available.

For me if we are looking to improve chemistry on the floor (and parting with Randle to do so) I would like more size. Assuming Lebron doesn't want to come play here with his son - I'd rather give 3 #1 picks and Randle/salary for Lauri Markannen. He shoots better from outside, doesn't need to hold the ball so Brunson and team can continue playing their style, he can give spot minutes at the 5 position, etc...this would allow us to use Mitch in a trade while still retaining Deuce who I believe is a solid backup PG and offers us great options defensively. Bogs can also be moved as his skill set would no longer be as vital with a deep shooting threat like Lauri. We would have more size to match up with Boston and still not struggle with pace vs faster teams like Indy.

What would it require to get Trae from Atlanta and route him via 3-team deal to bk? Bogey, Deuce and for picks 2024 #24 pick, Milwaukee pick, 2026 unprotected, 2028 unprotected, and 2030 lightly protected to the hawks. Trae to BK. Bridges to the Knicks and finney-smith to the hawks to make the money work. Is that fair all around ?

no, Deuce, Mitch + 5 1sts is just way too much. Deuce is one of the best contracts in the NBA and can also play backup PG.

we dont NEED Mikal, yes he'd be great but we aren't going to operate out of desperation.
