Thank god this is an afternoon game, we're that much closer to game time.

I definately do not expect this game to be too hard, despite the Raptors in the last game. It was just one of those nights. A blowout tomorrow would really make me feel better about the season. Back to .500!

Matt I appreciate your optimisim, but the raptors are a "MAJOR THREAT" TO WIN OUR DIVISION.

We are missing Houston, they are missing D.Marshall. CRAWFORD HAS TO PLAY LIKE HE BELIEVES "ALLBALL" for us to have a chance against them.

We missed to many open shots to make the game competitive. Lenny didn't factor in VC and Jalen Rose playing the way they did plus the milt palacio citing. I for one will be anxiously awaiting to see what adjustments we make to stablize the raptors running and gunning game.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Fair enough. Since you watch Toronto more than me, I'll just ask one question. Do you honestly think Toronto is more of a threat to win the divison, than any other team in the Atlantic (except NJ ofcourse)?
I realize this game is against a division rival, and there's that 'must win' kind of feeling, but Toronto has just not consistantly impressed me. They started off strong, but then go and lose like 5 of the next 6 games.

But once again, you watch them more than I do, so your oppinion is more informed than mine is.

I watch them fairly often. I expect them to finish with around 38 wins. I'd be very surprised if they finished at or above .500

It's very simple, if you play defense the way did in that game, you will get blown every time, by every team that can shoot open jumpers. Toronto has many shooters, so you just can't pack it in against them. Lenny chose an idiotic gameplan that backfired. We also failed to execute against the zone.

So two things to watch is do we have a competitive plan on defense and how are we going to combat the zone. If the preparation level for these things is the same as last time, we will get blown out again, and its time to let Lenny go.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

First off, The Knicks need to get back on those Raptors by kicking some major ***e$ at the Garden.

Secondly, Play2 thinks the Raptors are a threat to the Atlantic division.. I don't thinks so

Vince Carter will eventually get traded and Toronto most likely will not get back equal value..

Knicks just need to adjust from the last game vs. the same Raptors. This time the game is at the Garden..

The Future. GO KNICKS!

you cant really blame the last loss on lenny i mean we just werent evn puttin out hands up wat is he supposed to do.. only thing he could have done was put in reserves sooner

plain and simlpe, we need to play with urgency on the defensive end to win, i think we will tomorrow, and if we do, we will win

Listen to what Sam Mitchell the coach of the Raptors preaches, if you don't play well you sit(including VC) and the players respect that. He will get more from that bunch than Lenny could ever get from them. VC won't get traded unless it's for equal "STAR POWER" , other than that he will stay in Toronto. Toronto management wants equal value or it ain't happening, Toronto is not in the United States they " MUST" have a big name draw if VC is gonna be traded and most teams want to try and fleece toronto. This team went to Utah and knocked them off and that isn't easy to do, they have the mismatches that could catapolt them to the top of the eastern conf barring any major injuries. With D Marshall BACK AND Rafer Alston at the point they have size , youth and shooters.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I love the way guys talk about how great Mitchell is and how bad Lenny is. Meanwhile their winning percentage is .462 and ours is .455.
I just hope that people will like me

Winning percentage is irrelevant in light of the microscopic sample size. The reason that Knick fans are p.o.ed about Wilkens is that the team doesn't bring a consistent defensive effort game in and game out, and some of us think that his decision to give Sweetney less minutes on a rebuilding team (Isiah's words) is stupid.

This is a good opportuntiy for a gut-check win. Anyone hear anything on how Vin might be doing in his conditioning? Are we operating on the assumption that he's he just still recovering form the heart surgery and being out or is there a belief that a big miscalculation occurred and the guy has zero left in the tank?

I'm beginning to fall inlove with Nazr's fall away jumper.
