no secrets here... dude's been amazing. COY and pretty much took 3 different rosters to the playoffs. We have culture, effort, development and pride. Took long enough but thank god we are here. Leon, Thibs, Jalen and Jules and the crew Go get paid!

Give him his money. And give Johnny Bryant a raise too. He’s doing something with these guards. Brunson, Quickley, McBride. Similar to the credit he deserved from Lillard and Donovan Mitchell. Knicks need to keep him happy. He’s the eventual successor with any luck. Finally some true stability.

Gregg Popovich (San Antonio Spurs) $16 million
Erik Spoelstra (Miami Heat) $15 million
Monty Williams (Detroit Pistons) $13 million
Steve Kerr (Golden State Warriors) $9.5 million
Rick Carlisle (Indiana Pacers) $7.5 million


All salaries are going up. Monty got a seduction pay wage to bring his daughters and live in Detroit.
Popp and Spo are champs. I'd guess 10-12.5 would be about right. But what do I care, not my money.

Hope he marries a cheerleader and has lots of babies when he retires.

Keep this identity and the man who created it for the foreseeable future. No brainer. Right behind Kerr Pop Spo is where he belongs in the coaches pecking order. Monty will be an outlier.

and Thibs has done something Pops/Kerr have not. Win with mediocre players... both those guys have had superstar players and have no had any success without. Obviously Spoel has. That being said I like Thibs approach, philosophy and what he's done w/ the guys who have come in here

Pop, Spo & Kerr all won championships, but I don't know that they ever had the success Thibs is having now with a fraction of the talent they had (maybe Spo).

He has to get more than Monty, and should get more than Spo because NY is so expensive.

Knicks have waited decades for someone to do what Thibs and Leon have done. Knicks come off as one of the best coached teams in the league. They would all run through a brick wall for their coach. Our star player loves him. There's complete cohesion and simpatico here. It's beautiful to see. Extensions for everyone Dolan.
