I guess this is the price you pay for trading Fournier, RJ and IQ. It's going to be tough without our Celtics killers.

Thibs **** the bed tonight.

Terrible substitutions and when we were cooked no reason to play the boys.

Positives are we are going to beat these guys up at full strength.

They shot completely out their ass for 3.5 quarters.

Saw something that said they were 81% effective shooting thru 3 qtrs - highest % dating back to 1996.

There were a # of just tough shots they hit - particularly Brown early.

Our primary chance to beat them will be some injury luck (1 or 2 Celtics get dinged up) or they shoot poorly and we pound them on boards.

Really tough to say how much OG could shift things - add in Mitch and Jules and maybe we have a fighting chance.

I-Hart is clearly not of recent vintage - step late all over and over helping off KP (I’d still take my chances with KP hitting those long 3’s in playoffs vs ball in Tatum hands.

The pairing the 2 bigs who can’t shoot didn’t work at all as KP just stood in paint.

May have been better going more 1 big Precious and putting KP into pick/roll.

We were down 9 and coming back some in 4th - Burks lost rebound and energy left the building after that.

Hard to predict the future but it’s possible we missed our true missing piece while we were pining/planning for others and KP went to Boston.

Double whammy - we missed him and Celtics got him.

He was moving well last year with Wiz but this year he is in elite condition (thin/fit) and to date playing ELITE basketball in a perfect spot.

Brunson/Donte/OG/Randle/KP would have been fun group.

Everyone talks about wanting the 2nd seed to avoid the Celtics. You’ve got to beat them at some point.

I’m ok with facing them in the 1st round if we are healthy. I remember our 99 run and winning that opening road game to flip home court. I believe healthy we can do the same. Give me OG, Mitch and Randle and 7 games.

Cetics shot 60 plus percent for most of the game, and we were still in it until the 3rd quarter, with no Mitch/OG/Randle. Against the best team in the league. Hard to complain about that. Didnt have enough left for offense, with all those starters out.

I dont believe any player gets more amped up for a classic Knicks rivalry like Josh Hart. He always turns his game up a notch. Doesnt always have a great game, but he still brings intensity.

Ihart was having a rough night, Burks too, but I think it goes back to having to pick up the slack with 3 starters missing. Takes a lot of energy to slow down a Celtics team shooting lights out.

Thought Thibs should have played Bogs in the 3rd for a few minutes. Didnt have enough scoring. By the 4th, the team was gassed, and it was too late.

Deuce is getting better as the season progresses, but he still has more work to do as a distributor.
Right now he's more of a scoring PG. Burks isnt the answer as a PG, like him better at the 2. But this offseason. a quality 6th man PG, maybe an older vet with a few good years left. Like Derek Harper was, but off the bench, would be ideal.

Last nite we needed another distributor to get easier looks, save more for defense. If the FO can find a player like that we will be in great shape next season.

Statement was mainly made when we got the lead down to 9 early 4th. We let them get 5 offensive rebounds on a posession and then committed turnovers the next 2 and we were down 17 again.

Clearly too undermanned to compete with a full strength Celtics team. That said, something is off about the defense. Hartenstein is an anchor and he's not back to 100 pct or playing enough. Anunoby also fills a lot of gaps. I think we can withstand a Randle absence against most teams with Anunoby in the lineup - specifically teams like Boston and Indy that beat you with 3 pt volume.

The Celtics should be terrified to meet us in the playoffs because at full strength we are the better team. We hung around with 3 starters missing . Again we hung around with 3 starters missing. You put OG, Mitch and Randle back in our starting unit which puts I hart,Hart and precious back on the bench and not only are we a way deeper team, we won’t give them any breaks.mitch and OG make us the best defensive team in the league and it’s not even close and add Randal and they can’t just focus on Brunson. Celtics are f u c k e d if we are healthy and they know it. Did you see Tatum with his head down at the end of the game, he’s probably thinking as a seasoned vet, “god we don’t stand a chance in 7 games if they are healthy” and if he isn’t thinking that he’s a fool.

They don’t get those boards with Mitch and Randal in the starting unit and Tatum wouldn’t hit those 3’s in a bundle with the best defensive player in the league guarding him . I think that statement needs to be reversed to if we are 100% healthy do the Celtics have a fighting chance, I don’t think so.

I don't think anyone honestly expected a win. No team is beating the Celtics with their starting frontcourt hurt. We hung in there for 3 quarters. It was a weird game though. It seemed like the effort was there and we were playing hard but the close outs on the three was very poor. OGA would help here but we play them in the playoffs, defending the three needs to be a lot better. And we need to figure out KP.

On the bright side, good to see Randle working out. Made me feel a lot better. Deuce gave us some nice minutes. Big Hart looked better and moved more fluidly.

Burks has been awful. Trying to do way too much.

In my reality! We were down by just 9 at one point late, with a chance to bring it closer.

With any luck we'll have three starters back by the playoffs.

KP doesn't concern me. He's overdue for more missed time. I also expect Brown to be less effective in bigger games.

That said, I hope both teams are fully healthy. And we'll win in 6.
