He details it out in a way where you know he has no hard feelings or ill will towards Dallas. And the fan base can’t hold anything against him. The Mavs had all of the opportunity clearly and they blew it. Pretty amazing when he breaks it down the way he did. Very thankful for that.

Truth is they needed him as a back up and they did reach conf. finals with him.

Think about if Brunson got hurt like Luka did,. Jalen is now an all star and all NBA (likly). Say we kept IQ and he did what he does similar to what Brunson dis. Granted, we hearing IQ wants $80mil plus. I don't know if Knicks have made an offer of say $18mm and extend. Thats $72mil.
Do knicks not have other needs? Did Dallas have other needs at that moment? Remember, they had just went to ECF and Jalen was a nice piece but the team is about Luka.
I get where the might have tried to go with it but obviously did not execute well. Perhaps there was a free agent they thought they could get instead with that money?
In the end they were able to get Kyrie and paid a price for him. Im not trying to defend Dallas but there is context to it.
Hindsight? THey ****ed up. Plain and simple. But curious to know what they were thinking? Cube has been gracious to only compliment Jalen in postscript.

I think Cuban was nice towards Brunson but really salty towards the Knicks and Brunson’s agency. I don’t remember the particulars but obviously he was mad about all of the tampering which occurred only because they got cheap on Brunson.

Big thanks to cheap ass Cuban. In the words of WUTANG.

Mark Cuban has “Short arms and deep pockets”

The cool reality is both Brunson and Randle could have their jerseys retired someday and represent a great era for the Knicks.

WE did good on the KP trade. Cap space to sign Randle plus the picks.
Still one more to go.

Shows how far we are from the days of Phil Jackson. 70 million for Noah who was a bench player at that stage in his career. The amazing thing was how many fans believed Phil's BS right to the end. Like a cult.

I was wondering when Leon would put the rebuild into high gear, and it looks like we're there. Too bad about all the injuries, but the future still looks bright.
