During the month of January, Knicks were tied for 3rd in wins, 9th in ORating, 3rd in DRating, 3rd in NetRating.

That OG missed some games but was otherwise setting historical +/- rating for a single player on a new team. EVER. Dude had the highest individual impact on the court ever while joining a new team, for like 4 weeks straight. Open the flood gates of look back. This is a trick question. We will be really good at full strength but can't rely on that honeymoon forever. We had similar runs after Rose trade and Hart trade. Dust settles and those runs never last forever. We will be a different team in a different spot when everyone gets back. And soon we will have to make tough decisions about keeping key guys from that honeymoon run (Deuce and Precious) in the fold or incorporate the guys from the trade instead. But we are now a team on a 4 game losing streak with a brutal run of games ahead trying to incorporate key guys 1 by 1 as they get back into the lineup. Near term still looks rocky and will be a battle to get our mojo back. |
