Looking around the league, there might be a few killer waiver wire/free agent targets:
* Spencer Dinwiddie - just saw he was exchanged for Schroeder and will likely be waived. Big PG. Big motor. Clutch player. (Brunson buddy from Dallas?)
* Killian Hayes - the Pistons probably tried to give him to us in the trade. Lots of upside on paper... sort of like how Frank did/does...
* Robin Lopez - not sure how much he has left in the tank but maybe you trust him more than Sims or Taj; it seems like forever ago he was stirring things up with the Knicks. (then again, Boogie has been free this whole time)

As an aside, I can't quite figure out how such a useful player as Kelly Olynyk ended up with the Raptors after all of these moves. That guy would have been my ideal target as a backup PF/C/enforcer... but I guess it's good that he won't be doing damage for any of our playoff opponents either.

A year ago, I would've been arguing Grimes was the best piece in either of those deals. Really cooled down this year.

Seeing what Donte did once he took over for Grimes put thing in perspective for me. Grimes has promise but is way too passive on offense.

I thought the price for Washington was very steep. I don’t see him as any sort of high level starter to trade a distant first for.

Hoop Collective saying Mavs did real well and got better for this season but paid a big price.
Mostly they don't value draft picks and are viewed as being a bit screwed if things don't turn out.
They are trying to keep Doncic placated as well.
They can always trade him and reboot to some extent.
Losing Brunson as they did messed them up.
Collective points to the KP trade as really bad for them. That KP been now gone a few years and they STILL owe a pick was the comment.
