Even if innocent its an awful look!
Weinstein is in Jail with other criminals.
This is a lawsuit not a criminal charge. One has to think either this womens lawyer got an angle to win or they want to squeeze a settlement. What is the price for bad press these days? Jimmy Doles don't back down.

At this point creepy as he might be, you might get a new even creepier owner.
At this point you have an owner willing to spend on coaches, staff, facility, and analytic tools as well as pay taxes when needed.
At this point you have a owner who has deep pockets with no fresh debt. not like Arod who might be strapped and can't pay if Minny goes into the second apron.
At this point enough time has passed to have fumigated the Isiah stench and while Dolan is slimy, he will slither away from this as well.
He won't be forced to sell as its not criminal, its a civil suit. If he is going to get dinged, he'll settle and it will be quiet. Money talks.

IDK about the allegations, but Dolan is finally acting like a regular owner. Has been for a while now. With the exception of the "secret police" stuff.

As our resident expert, do you think he has a “Napoleonic Complex”?

"A "Daddy Complex" maybe. Either way he's staying out of FO decisions. Which is welcome news after many years of meddling, and quick fixes.

Have to admit, the Sphere is quite the spectacle. They are building one in London. I can't speak to the financials and if it will turn a profit. I have never been to vegas but if I go I want to experience it. I think they do tour/brief movie.
Wonder if they had to move MSG to a new location what would a new building look like? Would then incorperate some of the features of the Sphere to a multi purpose arena? Excited to see the new Balmer/Intuit Arena that will house the Clippers next year.

I went to the Sphere in November. One of the most amazing concert experiences I've been to. That said very few bands put on the show the scale that U2 does and I think they are not gonna have an easy time filling the residencies. The amount of Audio/visual work that goes into these is astounding. As innovative as it is, its not a slam dunk to make money/cut losses that soon, especially if they try to expand the concept too quickly/

There are few acts left that can fill stadiums but things do change. Springsteen still commands a premium and has many fans still as do the Stones. This is today and it can change. Taylor Swift could do it. U2 was the flagship to get the doors open and command attention. With one in London and perhaps thats it won't over saturate the market. Arena ceilings have many purposes so a dome itself is not practical, but could elements be carried over to a new arena?

I have seen clips of the U2 show and it look like quite the experience!

I think it would take months if not hours to create the A/V experience that supports the show. U2 has been known for doing that for years, they are probably the most innovative band for this, but most of the biggest acts in the world go up on stage and just play. That doesn't work in the Sphere as its all about the immersive A/V experience. I think its gonna be a really tough act to follow. They are already reporting heavy losses.

The acts who will make the most of the Sphere will be much, much, younger than U2. They will use what they learned on social media, and innovative sites like tik-tok. to make it a more interactive experience. Thats my guess.

Get one GenZ star to make the most of the design, and put on a memorable show. That should attract other young stars. But I agree that its novelty will mean that it might take a while.

Apple is about to release their AppleVision Pro. A live concert shot in the Sphere, and viewable with those immersive goggles, might make a good advertisement for the venue, and its capabilities. As well as those of the Apple Vision.

Take our hate for Dolan out of it, it sounds like a baseless lawsuit. Like a he said/she said sort of thing that will likely settle.

Never got off the ground, so I wouldnt call it a bust. Thats a very glitzy venue for such an old and historic city. Doesnt surprise me that they balked.

The Gulf States. thats the way to go. They will eat it up.
