Watched a G league game. He stood out so I looked him up. He’s 27 y.o. Drafted in 2019 by Cleveland at the end of the 1st rd. I don’t know his story or why he hasn’t had nba minutes

If he can play D, Thibs will be interested.

Showing some life. if he can do that over 30mpg and play his D he's a huge asset.

Grimes doesnt even need to be a different player, just be the guy he was last year, 11ppg in 29mpg, shoot the 3 well and defend well.

Still hoping he has another level but he can at least be that.

Have no issues moving him for DJM, but people talking about benching or moving him for a 34 year old Derozan is very shortsighted.

maybe it was the wake up call of the trade- sudden shock to people that things can't stay the same and they need better effort.

And having OG vs. RJ is a big help on D when switching, especially to larger players.

Some said my suggestion for him to go to 2nd unit was a bad one.

its more about minutes and rhythm, he played great with the starters last year, the minutes just weren't there this year with the addition of DDV and a full season of Jhart.

I think he fits fine either way but the thought of him starting with OG defensively is scary. and DDV's scoring is probably better suited as a sparkplug off the bench.
