Hate to start threads like this but just got word that the Knicks are trading RJ Barrett and Quickley to Toronto for OG Anunoby.

Not coming from any sports analyst or twitter account.

Just seeing this and not sure if real,or not.

Depending on draft considerations I like this deal — think Precious A is underrated in the deal and will serve as Jules back-up and small ball 5.

We just got longer and better defensively——- hope Murray deal is on table - maybe for Grimes?

Damn to give up Quickley in this and draft picks? Too much IMO, but i guess we would have lost him for nothing.

We also get Precious and Flynn back - both potential role players. Precious for sure and Flynn maybe.

Hate losing Quickly (he is going to thrive in Toronto) but OG is good upgrade for the 3 spot.

Knicks needed length at that position and they got it. This is a win/win for both teams

Adding OG and Precious- both long/tough defenders makes a deal for another scorer (ex Mitchell) more reasonable from a roster construction view.

Would love to see us add D Murray length.D now.

Achiuwa puts Hart back at back up 3 and gets us out of the undersized matchups when Jules sits.

It is going to take me a second to fully think this through but we needed to make a trade. RJ, Randle and Brunson did not fit. It was obvious to those paying attention. Quick is a hard pill to swallow but he was about to get paid much more than the Knicks were willing to spend I guess. We also needed to make some room in the SG SF positions. OG is going to get paid when his contract is up so how much is going to factor into this. OG is a good defender and when your two stars are JB and Randle you need as many good defenders as you can get. I kept saying 3 minus defenders in the starting lineup is not going to work. Now we are down to a more workable 2 bad defenders. Losing Quick is going to hurt our bench so lets hope the other guys we get can help with that.
