Agree entirely. Actually thought Randle did a lot of stuff right also. He’s holding the ball too long and dribbling too much, but it seems to be coming from a good place. 9 assists is legit.

This is the Randle.

If both Randle and RJ can hold to this type of evolution, it will do wonders for the team.

The "King" of NY's hairline is to weak to convingly wear the crown. Trust...in Bosley Trae.

Grammatical analysis says no. Nalod speaks about himself in the 3d person; this guy uses first person pronoun

Sometimes you sign Bogdan Bogdanović for 3 year $52m with team option for 4th year at 31 years of age, and the sometimes you roll with another Wild cat for 4 years for $47m and the pretty much have nearly the same effect for your team.

I love when Randle plays as the facilitator instead of a scorer. I can't go into his head but it seems he goes into this postup with the intent to pass once the double comes. Teams will always double him because he has a history of not knowing how to deal with it. However, when he goes in with the pass as the first option he does not spin himself into trouble like this play. The rest of the play is the type of basketball I like watching. Constant ball movement and player movement.

This type of spread while getting into core part of paint and then spray feels intentional to me. Have to see if it holds.

Spot on. This is Randle’s best role imho. He looked great and in turn other guys were better.

Hope it’s not a mirage.

Yes - last night is absolutely the blueprint for how Julius should play and he’s done this before.

His issue is he rarely sustains this type of play and reverts to too much handling & poor shot selection BUT the more we can have him ALLOW the game to come to him — less shots, more distribution and more physicality in the paint drawing attention the better we are.

Gotta make his layups but I think this was the vision with DDV. Spacer, mover, cutter, makes defensive play.

Knicks have him bringing up bal ball with IQ on court. Interesting decision but maybe it gets him some touches?

He felt like a different type of pairing with IQ that Thibs had with IQ and DRose.

I believe the around the rim has been his issue — not if he has smaller hands or a smaller wingspan but he does look unsure/insecure shooting around the rim.

Pairing with IQ looks nice because D can’t concentrate on 1 ball handler and both have ability to spread floor/pass.

I was very happy to see Donte shoot the ball so well - he was ripping the net. In terms of the Obi vs Donte argument- would have been nice to have both.

Randle can average 20/10/7 on this team very efficiently if he doesn't force.

And still be a guy that can go off for 40 any given night.

I don’t think it is dramatic as saying Randle is now your 3rd option, but in this game anyway, Randle clearly had a different role and it seemed to suit him and the team much better.

It was so good to see. Defenders can get into his dribble and Ju seems to lose it a ton, but last night was sooo good.

I’m still shocked at his production across the board last night, snuck up on me

I was shocked Hawks kept coming off guys given Julius was being defended well and has been bricking but at very key times in the shot-clock they came off and Julius found shooters.

Who would have ever thought all those things would have been possible even a few years ago?

4 steals, 4 blocks and 75% from FT to boot 😳

YES - I’m OFTEN critical of Mitch when he disappears or hits the bench early but last night was as impactful as Cavs series

43-90 overall, 20-44 from 3point. I hope they keep this up.

We had great pace with ball and body movement last night — looked like a 2023 nba offense even with some of our heavy iso actions
