Recently, it was revealed that Randle had switched agencies from CAA to WME. Some are speculating that this could be a sign of a potential trade to come.

“That’s something that some people around the League have suggested to me, is a potential trade situation to look out for,” per Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.

So now if you leave CAA, you leaving the Knicks? The CAA conspiracy is clickbait.
Nalod been telling all Randle is great trade fodder for a long time. all pro, all star and under a great contract.
Perfect trade piece for a star. Nothing to boast about, its just plain logical. I have mentioned him and Mitch with two picks for Embiid is a good deal for both teams.

CAA has played an outsized role with the Knicks, that predates Leon. On any other team I would agree that its a non-story.

Did it ever amount to anything substantial beyond that we hired the former head of the basketball division of CAA who sold his stake and took WWW with him? Leon and the "Family" were important and CAA talent but outside of that?

Have to admit, the CAA thing was real in that they are the top agency across many categories especially in the entertainment field, or major concert stars. For Radio city and other MSG venues it was important too.

Just prior to the Knicks’ most successful run of the last 19 years, Mike Woodson’s new contract became a point of controversy.

It wasn’t the money or years that were in doubt, but rather who negotiated on the coach’s behalf. With a deal nearly in place, Woodson abruptly dropped his longtime agents and replaced them with CAA, the agency that, at the time, carried strong influence at the Garden.

Keith Glass, the agent who was dropped by Woodson, explained what happened in his memoir, ‘7-foot Man-Eating Chicken,’ which is available for pre-order on Amazon and reviewed by the Daily News. Not surprisingly, Larry Brown and pettiness were at the heart of the dispute.

Earlier this month, Mike Woodson dumped agent Keith Glass and chose to be represented by Creative Artists Agency.

Woodson said Friday that CAA's business ties to the Knicks had little to do with his decision to switch agents.

"Not really," Woodson said, when asked about the CAA-Knicks connection. "After my doing my due diligence on their company, I liked what I saw and I took them on. And I'm happy about taking them on. So we'll see where it takes us."

You see how guys from CAA are treated differently," one anonymous Knicks player told ESPN New York's Chris Broussard. "How they get away with saying certain things to coaches. How coaches talk to them differently than they talk to the other guys. It's a problem."

IDK if the FO have plans to trade Randle, but Randle might be thinking thats in the works. His deal doesnt run out until his player option in 26'.

If Jules was on an expiring contract, I could understand the motive. But why now and on a team were CAA has a lot of pull?

Your not incorrect but its the entirety of the fans thoughts that each CAA client is a knick potential trade or signing. I don't doubt there some frustration by some players who were not in the CAA womb and perhaps used that as an issue. Keith Glass and Larry had a nasty toxic conflict with Isiah and Dolan and given that they took the petty road with Woodson's relationship with Keith Glass.

CAA was recently sold. Before that the dude that was part of Randles representation had left and is now with the new firm Randle employed. Maybe Randle feels at the end of the he regrets his most recent contract as he might have been discounted. Was Leon actually influential towards who negotiated and prevented Randle from getting more money? Or was it about him getting more marketing deals outside of basketball?
