I like Hunter because he can play some 3 and 4. But like everything else pertaining to the Knicks, there’s a rotation crunch. He’s getting paid a lot and where do his minutes come from ? Replacing Obi only gives him Randles backup minutes. You would have to significantly reduce minutes from someone else in the rotation which I don’t see. It’s the same dilemma as with DiVincenzo. Another consolation trade would have to happen.

Acquire as much talent as possible for future trades.

His contract is terrible for a guy that never plays.

I like the idea of adding a young defender, but he’s going to just be one of those guys that misses half the season.

I would like to get Bogey from them. Fournier and 1st and 2nd would be interesting. He’s what we need and can space the floor.

Do like the idea of adding talent. That’s why we should grab Donte on a good contract. He will definitely get better with his brothers and opens up future trades if we have to include IQ.

Atlanta seemed to sour on Hunter last year. I'm not sure if their expectations didn't align with his actual talent, it was hard for him to mesh with their backcourt or if it's all of the above. But I don't see Hunter as having the same impact as Josh Hart. I think a first round pick might be too high for him at this point.

I would be interested in a John Collins type of deal, meaning cap relief and a second round pick, and including that is debatable. This is a buy low type of move and apparently Atlanta is in salary shed mode

Of course this is make believe. Just a way to kill time in the off-season. That said, a move could be made using Fournier's contract.

He just walking in to his 90mm extension. Nice player, bit fragile. Making starter money. Played all time high 67 games last season. Pass.
