No need to make a deal for the sake of it. If it makes sense then you pull the trigger. Knowing Rose he will do something tonight probably

4 months of JHart were our first round pick this year. Lets talk some more about them

We were like kids at a candy store looking in through the window with no money in their pockets.

Noticed no big surprises. So called experts claimed a couple guys went early but who knows. Celts and Kings did not think this draft was worth staying in first round. Think Dallas did well by moving up a couple of spots and shedding salary. Lakers made two good picks and signed three undrafted. Was hoping we would sign at least one undrafted.

Let's see what we do once the next hoop for fans starts. (June 30th)
My sources say we get Embid, Lavine and OG in FA. OR nada.

Will be a wild ride. Probably more so in our heads. Prediction is we make small additions in FA and trade Obi and Fournier for something small.

We always work ourselves into a lather come draft night and really most teams do little. But when they do its a splash for sure.
I like What Dallas did with OKC for them. OKC has so much capital to work with they can do a lot.
So can we. Last year we cleared space for Brunson.

Who knows what we tried to do the last two days. If knicks don’t see a player they loved and the opportunity to trade to get the pick then things don’t happen.

Two glaring needs:

Back up PF if Obi is not going to get more minutes. Also what other team will, and return value to knicks via trade. Same if we let him be RFA.

We rolling with Grimes as our future 2? Or for now. We need a back up for him. DiVinchenzo works great here.


Questions to answer: RJ who just walks into his extension and Mitch whose trade value might be pretty high for the right team. I like mitch but if we went to Myles Turner or Ayton I see why Knicks do it. Its not just replacement but effect on chemistry. The knicks don’t move the ball well. Perhaps those two help.. Not that they are great passers, but can finish on offense with different looks. These are curiosities for me. Price to pay for such moves adn we have capital to do it.

If there are not minutes for Obi, where does Naz Reid play? I-Hart? Does Sims ever get promoted?

Starphuchs of Lavine or KAT? They linger but low probabilties. Lavine is the type of contract you dump and any trade centers on EF, Drose and say Obi. If Bulls want full retail and think he is valuable then they should keep him.
Kat? Played 29 games with Rudy and I don’t think they are ready to give up on this. They should be patient unless we make it worth their while. I only see Randle as any centerpiece to a deal. Im ok there if it happens like that and not much more. Randle trade value with durabilty and contract should be pretty darn good.

I think Kat’s game would help RJ. And we all know RJ is not getting any younger these days!!!

I have Leon Rose figured out I knew he would do nothing draft night and mentioned on a other thread we might get TOPPING The Younger.
