Thibs should be fired for the Obi, McBride, IHart lineup he used. The man just doesn’t know how to substitute. He had grimes on the bench in the 4th with Hart out there which made no sense and allowed everyone to double Brunson. Very disappointing how he handled rotations.

Lack of communication between the coach and the front office on that signing, he was never a fit with Thibs. This season was about dead money, 42MM of contracts that couldn’t play in the playoffs and another 28MM that needed to be flushed with a 1st rounder.

With all that the season was still a win. And if the Bucks beat us in 5 games instead of the Heat the fan base is happy right now which is the crazy thing about all this.

Thibs was in over his head. We never ran a competent play out of a time out. I wasn’t seeing any consistent plays run outside of isolationz

You want McBride, Grimes, Fournier, Barrett, Randle. You need to try something. Obviously not having IQ hurt, but he could have put IQ in McBrides place before he was injured above.

Ben simmons was a top defensive player in the league. You might want to revisit that. Can’t shoot, but his cred was defense. Look it up.

Only way he works, IMO is if he is brought in as a bench player somehow, while not giving up anything of value. There is always drama around Ben. and he wouldn't be playing guard. he would have to make his living in the frontcourt.

CP3 gets bought out for 15mil. Do we take him as part of a bigger trade? My numbers don’t work but:

For Ayton and CP3. CP3 plays behind Brunson and some with him when gone small. This is a one season thing for CP3 here.

I think an Ayton (if bought in ) can be a monster if he lets Thibs in his head and it will free up Randle to get easier buckets.
Also CP3 is quite salty a personality. It be good for Randle to see somone who complains more than he does. This is sarcasm gents.
PHX is all in now and IQ can step in and start. Got that Kentucky alum thing too. Means little. About as much as saying “KAT IS CAA”. EF gets a role off the bench and throw in some protected pick.

THis is predicated on one belief: Its not who ayton is now, but what can he be? He is still young and has the physical tools. If his head is not right, or he is not a super hard worker then we don’t do this. This is about bringing in yet another player who can rise. This is about him loving to play and work and handle Thibs and his. Intensity. He is different because he needs to play up to his contract. He will be 25 this summer, 7 foot 250 solid build, 3 years and about 100 mil left on his deal. I’d rather not do anything with CP3 but that might be a big deal for PHX and could make the deal less expensive. He will be injured giving Deuce room to play.

This keeps Grimes, RJ, and if IQ out, Maybe ROkas gets a Two year make good path here.

If Knicks picked up Derrick Rose s option they could toss him in for that deal, but I don't see why Phoenix would trade CP and Ayton for IQ and Robinson. They don't need picks, they need players.

and I just gave them two starters, and EF off the bench. The pick is the always "sweetner" go make a fans trade look better. My assumption is they move on from CP3. Is IQ ready for starting on a contender? He'd have it pretty easy playing along Booker and KD.
