The team could use Brewer's defense more than any offense Moochie brings. I was actually surprised Moochie started the season on the active roster over Brewer considering the effort Isiah made to get Brewer

Brewer's the kind of player that opposing teams can't stop; they can only hope to contain him!

I thought Moochie played decent so far, but I am very excited to see what Brewer can bring. He impressed me in the preseason.

matt did you watch the last too games? moochie was atrocous. He might've done ok in preseason and during the first game or two but since then it's an automatic deficit once he enters the game

Moochie is a -15.0 when he's on the court. This was long overdue. Brewer doesn't need to play. His job is simply to keep Moochie from playing.

Yes I did watch those games, but I don't really remember getting into a hole with him on the court. I recall staying a basket or two above or below the team. He obviously wasn't going to lead us on a run, but to hold down fort while Marbury is out, he wasn't too bad.

The stats paint a different picture. http://www.82games.com/04NYK2D.HTM

He has the lowest +/- of any Knick in the rotation and has failed to hold the fort down 4 times. We don't need him. Taking away this option from Lenny is a smart move. We really don't need Brewer either. Our 9-man rotation (10-man when Houston comes back) is just fine as it is.

That link really seems to prove me wrong. I'll have to go back and watch some of the last few games I taped. But as you mentioned, it doesn't really matter. We can still go with that 3 guard rotation, and give Brewer or Moochie maybe a couple minutes every other game.
