Apologies for the pay wall article.

Notable comments:

1) Trae Young voted most overrated, but Randle and Barrett both got significant votes.
2) Brunson and IQ voted among the most underrated players.
3) Thibs is voted as the coach players least want to play for. Common comment is that he overplays his players and it’s impossible to get out of his doghouse.
4) Knicks fans voted among the best fans.

“Just the grind,” one player said of Thibodeau. “He plays his guys 44 minutes (a game) all year. I’ve heard from guys like if he likes you — if you’re his guy — hetreat you great. He’ll play you a lot, talk to you, so you’ll f— with him in that sense. But if you’re on the outside, it’s like you’re not getting back in.”

The thing is, none of his Knicks players ranked among the league’s top 16 in minutes per game this season. Forward Julius Randle averaged 35.6 minutes per game, the 17th highest average in the league. Point guard Jalen Brunson played 35.0 minutes per game, the 23rd highest average. No other New York player ranked in the top 35.

This morning, yes, Randle and RJ are over rated. Especially after that stinker last night!
Was surprised Thibs was listed far and above the least. Perhaps there are plenty of ex thibians who are a bit salty over past actions?

Once you develop a rep for burning through guys and cutting short their careers - Noah, deng, d rose - hard to shake that

It’s a shame that d rose has been unusable all year

22 year old recent MVP was not playing crazy minutes.
Noah did not take care of himself.
Deng burned out? Much of this has been disproved. Their numbers were in line with other high end and well payed in their prime.

Nalod - in fairness there were two positive comments in my post and two negative and you only addressed the negative. Why's that? If you are psyco-analyzing other posters, why not discuss why the Knicks have among the best fans and how Brunson and IQ are considered underrated.

I think Cam Reddish bought some ballots and voted multiple times.

Surprised Thibs voted worst considering how hard his team has played for him - would think that says something positive but I get the whole dog house thing (hard to get out of there).

I was addressing Casegoods reactions in that thread.
“Best fans”. Great.
Love that Brunson is who he is and after his season he should get props, as should IQ.
Not sure I agree that Randle is “over rated” but by what measure? Perhaps its ny media and the hype? That makes sense.
Barrett gets that also, but his contract might define his “over rated” by fellow players and that I can understand in addition to the hype.
Funny though, Barrett first two years he was a bit dissed by ROY and soph play in game hype though. If so, then he was not “over rated”. This year, well thats pretty well dissected all season long.

Pshyco-analyzing? Im not letting stupid redundant well disproved **** go unchecked. Best fans?? Perhaps emotionally but the lack of balance and ignoring of facts does take a very small sample down a notch or two. One would think a chat sight that presents well thought out points and stats would matter and enhance some convo’s. Instead a few just make up **** and ignore reality.
