Josh Hart getting tons of much deserved love since coming to NY. High energy, blue collar player. Great chemistry with the team. Very likeable guy on/off court - dude's hilarious! No wonder he won over the fanbase almost immediately.

Question is - has anyone won you over sooner?

Some nominees from the last 20 years:

Derrick Rose (version 2.0)
Jeremy Lin
Robin Lopez
Jerome "Junk Yard Dog" Williams

Didn't include 90's Knicks since I just missed that window, but I know Starks, Spree, and Camby will be making a lot of lists.

JYD was the first guy to come to mind, but Rose 2.0 may be my personal winner. He came over and immediately acknowledged the elephant in the room that was his first stint in NY. He was humble, said all the right things, took ownership of the fallout, and then immediately started balling. Winning will win a lot of people over fast, but when you're subbing in for Elfrid Payton, that's going to amplify it.

Hart was a guy I liked a lot before and always sort of hoped landed with the Knicks, but he has exceeded my expectations. For me it’s easily him.

Other than Hart, might have been Spree.

Hart won me over his first game. Probably at the 7:44 mark of the second quarter.

So true. I sort of put him in a different category because I consider him a superstar.

Linsanity was so much fun. Had to be the quickest!
Amare was incredible out of the gate for us.
JHart because the win streak and subsequent rise to 5th seed.
Jerry Lucas was an Allstar but I did not know a thing about him until he became a knick. His range of shooting and rebounding was great.
Bernard King. Short tenure but he cleaned his act up and was all business when he got here. He fulfilled his trajectory as a knick!!!

Sprewell- Ja Morant is the closest comparison I can think of.

Derek Harper- Was one of the best PGs in the league in his prime. Still had enough left to step in for Doc Rivers and help take us to the finals. Harper was a tough customer, which fit right in with the 90s Knicks.

Xavier McDaniel- Wasnt in NY long, but he was another former Knick with an attitude. Was wondering how Oak and the Xman would get along after their scrum, before the trade.

Starks- From bagging groceries in the midwest, to the Mecca. Everyone was rooting for John to make it. Started out as a defensive specialist. Surprised me and a lot of other fans when he started getting buckets.

More seriously, I'm not sure I've been more impressed by a player in his first game than Josh Hart. I mean he does everything. Helps that I didn't know anything about him before that game, and he seemingly came out of NOWHERE.
I guess STAT was also quickly impressive, but I don't remember specifically if it was the first game like with Hart.

Kurt Thomas. Blue collar, I liked watching him play.
Marbury. It's was awesome at first! Then we all know what happened.
Grimes. Just his hustle on D. That's how the game should be played.
Brunson. It was love at first sight.
Josh Hart. Blue collar. Really like watching him play from game 1.
