Our rebounding and Brunson helped the game out. But to advance we need to get iq and grimes to play their games

Yes, we are doing this while accumulating a very handsome asset base. Definitely can try to sustain this level and develop further. Grimes:)

I agree with this. Winning with IQ and Barrett not shooting well is nice. Grimes redeemed himself at the end with those free throws. Those were clutch.

How much credit does Thibs get for developing him? In the starting lineup all season, at the end of the games, the whole deal

To me those guys are key. Clev missed on tin of easy shots and we made all of the Monty’s plays

Thibs sat both iq and grimes in the 4 th and without some Brunson miracle shots that would’ve back fired

But like the old Knicks we won on guts tonight and look for gane/ skill improvement next game

I'm guessing that IQ is going to be doing more shooting off the dribble the next game. Getting his shot off faster. They're focused on making Quickley give up his dribble.

Grimes, Im hoping will be trying to get to the line more.

I wish RJ would try to be more of a glue guy, like Hart. When he doesnt have the ball.

Agreed. Barrett played terrible. I didn’t like how Randle played (although that rebound at the end was terrific.) Coach straight up did not trust Quick. Yet we still ended up winning. We have to improve those things in order to win the next game but it’s a good sign.

PS: Brunson is a monster.

Brunson and Hart are two guys the Knicks acquired this season and neither have ever been an allstar or anything like that, yet they completely changed the culture and fortunes of this franchise.

They have won it on the college level. That's something.. What's incredible is that we did all that for some cap space and a first round pick( it's actually 2 firsts, but still)

If I’m Lillard and I’m watching hart in the playoffs I’m sick to my stomach. This is the exact player you want on your team if you’re Lillard and the Blazers gave him up for a late first rounder. A future move that even if traded doesn’t bring back Hart-level impact. Portland says they want to build around Lillard and let go of the best player to support him on that team outside of maybe Grant.

How does Thibs not trust IQ/Grimes after the way we closed season yet he trusts RJ — I just don’t get it.
