Why not trade for LaFrentz and Van Exel. Denver just wants to part ways with Van Exel, they wnat it so bad they are willing to give up LaFrentz. They know he will be gone next year anyways. Nick has a bad attitude but so what! He can drive and shoot from the outside. I'm not quite sure about his defense though. He is averaging just over 21 pts this year and gets about 8 assist's a game. Granted that is on a crappy team (then again so are the Knicks). The upside of all this is the Knicks can reduce salary as well.
Denver gets: Camby, Anderson and Robinson
New York gets: LaFrentz and Van Exel

If LaFrentz turns out to be a bust we let him walk and we get rid of Anderson's rediculous 5 year contract, Nick's contract is for one less year. At the same time we upgrade at the point. Its a step in the right direction. We need to lower the salary gradually. The Knicks are not going to be able to rid themselves of these long term contract's quickly. No one is going to take 5 or 6 year contract's and give up one year contract's. However, it is probably a mute cause now with Camby being hurt!

We'll probably have to give up at least Houston or Sprewell to get Van Exel and LaFrentz. Also we'd have to trade away at least one of our point-guards afterwards cuz we'd end up having 4 point-guards on our team if we do the trade u mentioned.
