So many people hyping UConn. I’ve followed Cbb as much as anyone and I’m expecting a f war tonight. UConn will not have the size advantage in the front court and as has a top 10 3 point defense. UConn takes 43% of their shots from 3. Sd beat Alabama this way
. I’m not betting against UConn but I like San Diego + 8. This will come down to the last 2 min and what UConn does not have is a guy who makes scoring plays 1v1 w da dribble. Two reasons y UConn lost 8x this season—- they did not use Andre Jackson correctly and they could not make plays w dribble— both issues caused defensive issues as well. UConn lost ALL their close games

So imho it’s either UConn by 17 or sd by less than 4.

SDSU is great. There defense is great. Their size is great...

That said, short of the UConn guys getting scared of thestage, I see no way they lose this game. Their depth is legitimate. Their roster has diversity in terms of what the players bring to the table. And I don't see how SDSU will slow down Sanago, as they don't really have a size advantage on him

Is this the worst tourney in NCAA history?

Anyone remember the days of teams like NC (Jordan/Worthy/Perkins), the Ewing/J Thompson Hoyas, Phi Slamma Jamma Houston Cougars, the Duke lead Hurley/Hill teams….etc…etc….hell even the recent Nova teams.

This tourney puts me to sleep — thank god for Kaitlin Clark

I watct as much college basketball as you do Briggs, and I agree not be easy. SDS is a team full of grown men, with I believe 7 seniors in their rotation. They are strong, very physical (the type of team that border-line fouls on every play) and they run the opponents off the 3-point line. I am concerned about Newton running the point. They will guard Newton the full 94 feet, and he struggles at times handling the ball. Ontop of that, sometimes it takes the Huskies a few seconds to get into their sets because of the action they run in the paint which will leave Newton at the top of the key on an island with the defender while he is waiting for Hawkins or another teammate to pop out.

Uconn cannot turn the ball over and give SDS live ball baskets because SDS struggles to score in the halfcourt themselves. Also, Uconn will need to put the ball on the floor when they receive the ball behind the 3-point line as SDS players are fantastic on the close outs. One thing in Uconns favor though, SDS hasn't faced a team that defends as well as Uconn does. It will be a low scoring game, but in the end, I think Uconn will take it.

Actually this tourney was very good and similar to those tourneys back in the day. The portal and extra covid playing year has a lot of older teams which means better ball. Just like it used to be without the one and done superteams.

I respect your opinion - me I’m going to keep my eyes on Jordan Hawkins who now looks/appears a legit 6’5

I think UConn wins but I'll be rooting for San Diego State (because they're the underdogs).

I hope San Diego State wins but I feel like UConn wins by 20+.

I’m late but having watched 0 college ball, but part of the UConn Miami game, I thought UCONN was too deep and too good and would roll over San Diego.

I am huge Big East fan so I always root for Big East teams in the tournament. Uconn is about to win their 5th championship in the last 24 years, more than any program! Also, Uconn has more championships (5) than the blue blood of all blue bloods, Kansas (4). Props to Jim Calhoun for building this program!

I can’t say how much this means to me. UConn has been a saving grace in my fan history. 20-0 against not conference teams. We shouodve never lost 8 games
