Our team is now flush with yoot, but what is the market for other teams?
Fact is at some we either trade picks or players as they need time on the court.
Roka’s is how old? Making how much in Europe? What is his pay ceiling there?
THen who if not us is willing to give him an opportunity to play, learn, make mistakes, and develope in the time line needed. What does our FO and staff project as a timeline to make a big move/trade and go all in for a 3 year window?

No way am I trading Quickley for a pick. He’s a keeper unless it’s in a package for a superstar.

Yes, a sure thing. Its what we all want. If you move up maybe you draft that kid who becomes a star. I said high conviction.

Luka blew the doors off his projections when he got to the NBA. Nobody saw that coming as it did. He was lottery on potential, but what he became was more!

Luka's stats were not crazy either. None of the young euros are. If a player has NBA aspirations they play him, but not to full extent. We have seen this many times before.

Who said anything about changing the direction of the team? We have his rights. He wants to come to the NBA he will have to go through the Knicks process. If it’s not beneficial for him he will either have to stay overseas, or wait for a deal that benefits the Knick. But I’m not moving the 21-22 Euroleague rising star for a 2nd rounder.

A lot of people did, it's why he was picked 3rd and probably slid only BECAUSE he was playing in Europe. Qualify it by "as it did" all you want but he was an incredibly high level prospect.

I'd guess that the scouting and then the translation of what is happening over in the Euro leagues over to what may or may not translate either against college play or how it will translate to the NBA is just not as well-known to NBA teams.

I know I deserve to get called out from time to time but 3 teams ****ed it up. PHX, Sac, and ATL. not saying they did not think it was worth the pick, but This kid out of the box was far more special than thought. We talking a draft where Mo Bamba went 6th! We treat Knox as some kind of war crime commited by knicks!
That draft was messed up.
Im not pro scout and obviously Dallas did good. Perhaps Trae was seen as the safe pick and ATL got cute. It happens.
Trae is far from a bust. He is an *******.
I think we can agree Luka was not the can’t miss pick evident by where he went and that ATL traded down.
So when I say “nobody saw that coming”, Im not saying he was passed over by 8 teams and ignored.
