I agree I love the Play-In because it's giving mediocre teams such as Brooklyn/Miami/Atlanta/Toronto/Chicago/Indiana/Washington + Phoenix/Clippers/Dallas/Golden State/Minnesota/OKC/Utah/Lakers/Pelicans good reasons to try and win games (in order to make the top 6 seeds and/or just make the Play-In) etc.

This is the part I disagree with.
None of these 7-13 seeds are playing their best ball as of late...
Brooklyn/Miami/Atlanta/Toronto are all playing mediocre .500 basketball (previous 10 games) and the 13th Seeded Orlando Magic are still stinking up the joint.
Only Chicago (10th) and Indiana (11th) are playing their best basketball @ 6-4 previous 10.
Same with the West:
Dallas (6), Golden State (7) and Minnesota (8) all have losing below .500 records (previous 10 games) and both Jazz (10) and Lakers (11) are only .500 (5-5) previous 10 games.
Only OKC (9) has a winning record previous 10 games @ 6-4.
That's 8 teams from both Conferences who are actually playing below .500 basketball previous 10 games (Brooklyn/Miami/Atlanta/Toronto/Orlando/Dallas/Golden State/Minnesota) and another 2 (Jazz/Lakers) @ only .500% (non winning records).

Don't forget Portland they're tanking pretty hard. 5 loses in a row and now the 3rd worst Western Conference Team (behind only Houston/San Antonio) + the current 6th worst team in the NBA.
