Briggs is very impressionable to the moment.
Oubre is skinny undisciplined streetballer who can’t get a long term deal because of it.
Talent off the bench at best. Not good defender. Thibs would hate him.
For what it’s worth Oubre was known as a solid defender earlier in his career. I have mixed feelings about him but he does seem to look good against the Knicks.
I missed the part about trading Grimes for Oubre but no way on that front.
I do legit think swapping RJ out for a solid all-around 3 is the way to go — not clear who that 3 might be.
And there in lies the rub. Easy to stroke the keys and want a “better than current 3”.
Maybe thats on the table, or the FO and coach are hell bent on seeing him thru. That by choice, by contract, and by pride.
Maybe RJ’s final lessons are as playmaker. He looks like IQ before the light bulb went off. We focus on the gaffs and expect the good plays. RJ is on fans hyperfocus. Some of it warranted, some of it parroting the clickbait blog whores.
Lets look at two extremes on emotionality. On one side. You have NYMentality losing his **** on the positive. Last year you had Macri who became unlistenable to me a long time ago admit his negative anti Randle agenda was taken personally. Why? Who knows, but he quick his law practice to do this full time. Nice guy, but he got bills to pay and perhaps lost a lot of cred along the way.
Before last year we had FrankMania. 4 years of Frank debate, hope, hate, and analysis.
The prediction game offers no reward to either side. The games decide the outcome and fans have no input to FO roster moves.
