![]() Its easy to blame fatigue at end of season but the best of the best are paid hundreds of millions to achieve deep playoff runs.
win, its all good. Lose blame fatigue for injuries and blame the coach. Or is the system? Sponsers? or the fans! Jordan, lebron, Bill Russell, and Kareem all had genetics to achieve the near impossible! Teams that get tired and lose? They just don’t have it. We have a very young team and they are developing nicely. How they handle pressure is also part of that. Fatigue makes you stupid and emotionally Inconsistant. This group has not dealt with how to finish a season and segway to a post season, let alone succeed there. . . |

![]() The guys with the biggest minutes in the celts game - Julius; quick and rj has the biggest minus for the game against the hornets.
The freshest guys - deuce, hart, obi had the highest / only + effect on the score. Fatigue Matters |

![]() I'm just glad that no one has gotten hurt yet. With the playoffs coming up, and right after the double OT win AND Randle looking absolutely exhausted, you think Thibs would give Obi some minutes.
I get that he doesn't want to alter the lineup much, but Thibs keeps passing up opportunities to get players minutes while resting the starters some. Fatigue does indeed matter, hopefully Thibs addresses it. |

![]() Disagree. Proven that teams that succeed in playoffs are the ones that go in playing well and streaking at the end of their seasons.
Resting your top players on the bench does not get your team playing at its best going into playoffs. Can see giving some guys less minutes on back to backs but a bigger challenge is getting everyone to be mentally tough despite the grind. Something they will have to do in the playoffs. ![]() They need to stay in the 5th seed, at bare min the 6th seed. There's a lot of work to do on that front. I think if they have to go to a play in and end up against Toronto, they could be in trouble.

![]() Teams with Championship DNA and a proven ability can rest. But this team has yet to succeed.
As I said, our young guys need this experience if they are to expand beyond. On paper "rest" seems logical. I thought there were moments vs. boston Randle looked detached but he turned it back on. The tech he got was just stupid on him as he was just engaged talking and tried to make a point, but you can't touch a ref. |

![]() phuck rest. This is the 96 Yankees and IQ is the next Jeter. Full throttle. This is a young team. People treat these guys like they made of glass.
IQ/Hart/IHart are excellent bench players and the coach trusts them to play 30 minutes any and every night. "winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs

These guys are all over achievers. But they are playing heavy minutes like they are all superstars (or NBA stars). But I worry about Randle and his fatigue. Because we go as far as Randle takes us. Plus, Thibs is trying to win now. I doubt Thibs is thinking about the playoffs or load management, thats not him (unless he changed or changing as we speak). Thibs is a "1 game at a time" guy. But like we saw in the past, the knicks got into the playoffs and was quickly bounced out. Regardless if it's mental or physical, the team wasn't prepared. And we are seeing some of that during the season (even during the games we won). Brunson has been the real glue to our offense, especially in the clutch. We don't have another clutch player on offense, thats a leader and is consistent. IQ's game is inconsistent right now. But he will grow into a reliable Brunson type of impact, over time. Against the Kings, the team wasn't prepared. And I mean the team, which includes the coach. Thibs will need in game adjustments if we plan on going far into the playoffs. But he also needs to get RJ and Grimes playing better, which is a tall task. Meanwhile Randle is back to his lack of defense and bricking his shots. Brunson is a walking wounded warrior. Rose is mentally and physically behind since he sat out for so long. EF should get a shot. But this winning streak is on Thibs. And the losing streak is also on Thibs. What makes you laugh, will also make you cry. Thibs stubborness is why we are on a roll and why we go on these runs (wins or loses). Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland.

![]() It's not like we're sitting comfortable on top of the conference. If a player can play, he should always play. If a player is hurt but can tough it out and doesn't risk further injury, he should play. If a player is a hurt and cannot physically play, he should sit. If a player is hurt and risk further injury and needs time to recover, he should obviously sit.
But this sitting games out purposely to stay fresh is bs and always has been. |

And the hand checking rules did not exist. Todays players are walking millionaire products. Plus, they are not built the same. You see it if even during pickup games. So between the agents whos job is to protect their assets. And the owners as well. Then mentally these players are not built the same and extra sensitive. Load management makes since in this era of basketball. Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland.

![]() Brunson definitely needs to sit out for a week if not two weeks to let his foot get completely healed. It may be time to bring Derrick Rose back into the rotation. I know Thibs has too much respect for him to play him as a third string PG, but right now, we could use him backing up Quickley. McBride is superior defensively, but he still needs another couple more years before he can match Rose's ability to impact the game. Toppin should be playing 5 more minutes to give Randle a breather, and Thibbs should watch Mitch's minutes and give Sims 5 minutes a game. I don't want any uninjured player to sit, but Thibbs can help simply by reducing some minutes.
