![]() Wasn't the greatest Boston/Cleveland (watch party) because Boston dropped the 4th Q + overtime ball (Cleveland win).
All good. Only -1.5 back of Cleveland + only -1.0 back of Cleveland (with an NY win over Charlotte tomorrow night) with still 16+ games remaining in order to leapfrog Cleveland. |

![]() The Celtics are a mess right now - after tonight's loss to Cleveland, they've only won 1 out of their last 5 games. They're in danger of dropping down to the 3rd seed after spending so much of the season in 1st.

They're in danger of dropping down to the 3rd seed after spending so much of the season in 1st. Haven't even noticed Boston's struggling. Please don't get my hopes up. I've only really pretty much focused on NY catching teams like ATL, Miami, Brooklyn after the trade and now hawking down Cleveland with Philadelphia (3 seed) also in mind + Dallas Mavericks (root for loses) and Washington Wizards (for for Playoffs). Etc. Couldn't have imagined Boston falling into a slump but who knows maybe Ime Udoka was just a much better coach. Just led that same exact core squad to the NBA Finals vs Golden State last year after other previous coaches couldn't in comparison to whoever this new guy is (former undrafted younger than me) 34 year old Joe Mazzulla. I'll take Tom Thibs 7 Game Playoffs Series to kick that kids ass up and down an NBA basketball court for 48 minutes + OT @ the age of 65 because this dude isn't battle tested like Coach Thibodeau 3X by PRIME LeBron James led Superhero teams (3x L'S). I'm not scared of Boston. Not with an old school throwback Tom Thibs having these kids of NY backs I'm not. |

![]() This one worries me cause it'd be so Knicks to lose to these bums after the week we've just had.

![]() I know some posters arent fans. I do wonder if we could swing a trade for LaMelo while his relative value (becuase of injuries) is probably low.
Then I think of his brother Lonzo with similar health issues. If IQ isnt getting promoted, LaMelo at SG would be interesting though. OK let me have it lol |

Don't recall too many trades in which a young star player was moved because of injury concerns. I strongly suspect Charlotte is going to hope to cash in in the lottery and TEAM that player with Ball. |

Because NY's got an absolutely amazing Head Coach who keeps his kids focused (heading into every game). Tom Thibs and his players are all dialed in right now. Knicks over Charlotte tonight and by over 40+-50+ points too (NBA SLAUGHTERING). |

R.J.'s only 22 years old but already averaging 20 Points per Game (19.6). And more importantly, R.J. Barrett is now shooting .470% {40/85} since dating back to All-Star break (6-0). He's also coming off a huge game @ Boston with 29 Points/11 Rebounds/3 Assists/1 Steal/1 Block + 50 Minutes of grind (Overtime x2). R.J. might go off for 40+ tonight. |

![]() Knickoftime wrote:The unsettling quiet calm during a Knick winning streak is always interesting. When you've been a knick fan for over 40 years, something is always broken with this team. This winning stuff is new and having a solid team of players, a coach and a competent FO is all new stuff. It's like a scorned lover who finally found the dream of their life. But because of their scorned past, they are still skeptical and filled with doubt. But you bring up a very interesting dynamic in life period, especially for those fans who suffered lots of losing and embarrassment for over 40 years. A few months of winning doesn't cover up all those years of pain and drama. For the new knick fans (bing bong era), there's no excuse because they do not have the same scorned history. So go ahead and jump out the window like all the other bing bong fans screaming ECF. 9 game winning streak? This is the time to show out knick fans. We should turn every away game into a home game with fans alone. We are deep. Some have been hiding for years, but they can come out the closet now. I just want to see if we can handle business tonight. Right now, we are the favorite in most games since we are the hottest team in the NBA (damn that sounds good). But I'm still worried about this trap game. Should be a cake walk, since Ball is out. Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland.
The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!
