Pacers and Pistons got into big brawl with the Detroit fans, It all started with a foul by Artest on Ben Wallace. A fan threw beer on artest and he went after them in the stands . Other fans joined in in hitting artest and the pacers team mates joined in the fracas just like a hockey game. DETROIT FANS ARE THE "ILLEST" I have ever seen. By the way the nba"refs" called the game , Pacers won 97-82

THAT WAS THE MOST ENTERTAINING INCIDENT I HAVE EVER SEEN IN AN NBA GAME!!! Wow! I know I should be ashamed of finding it so funny when pistons fans are clearly classless, but man! That was made for TV!

Wow, just saw it on sportsdesk. Everyone involved should be ashamed. I mean it was entertaining and all, but no excuses, that should not happen ever.

that fight was INSANE. Whats the overunder on fat guys that Ron Artest can punch? Looks like 4 in 5 minutes. Man... what a bunch of head cases! Steven Jackson had his share also, but Artest into the crowd, punching fat old guys (ok they punched first). Then that other fat dude comes onto the court for a piece of Ron. How smart was that?!?!?!

Thats classic stuff... wow.

Man there was no way i was gonna turn away from that fracas. I never saw nba fans throw punches at players and in turn the players who are multimillionares go after fans disregarding the fact of being sued. that gonna be the main issue.

some of those fans are going to be millionaires too after all the lawsuits are handed out.

that was seriously crazy stuff...i think Artest can pretty much pack his bags...he won't be in Indiana long after this.

man, those visuals will be played from now to eternity.

unreal.

i wonder what the ramifications will be for fans and the nba? no more beer at games? extended security behind the benches?

absolutely nuts.

that fool at the end that walked up to artest? that's why you need to stay in school kids. these guys ARE bigger in person!!!

can't blame artest for that one but dude flipped when he got him by a beer. he's probably gone for a long time (maybe 30 days/10 games) and so is jackson.

ben will probably get 2 or 3 b/c it was on the court.

ESPN only showed Artest going after some random fan,I doubt he could have seen who threw the beer at him with him lying on the table.Reminds me of the classic Bruins/Ranger fight in the late 70s when the Bruins went into the stands at MSG.

Wow, just saw the whole thing on ESPN news. That didn't look like too dirty of a foul on Artest. Big Ben just exploded on him. Artest didn't even get involved in the fight between the teams, he just went and laid down.

...I REALLY want Artest in NY right now.

Piston fans deserved it, I hate to say it. Actually, let me correct myself, the fans involved deserve serious fines right now. It was just embarrassing.
I actually did pick up alot of respect for Artest tonight, even though he definately shouldn't have gone into the stands.
Piston fans better watch out next time Artest is in the Palace.

As the guys at ESPN news just commented on, Christmas day is the rematch: Pistons @ Pacers. Now Kobe vs. Shaq is the undercard.

Hah I'll be first in line. If not, I'll make my own. I'll walk around town with my #91 straight jacket and my Mike Tyson muzzle. God I love the world of sports.

I just keep watching those replays, and how exactly did the fans think that once the whole situation presented itself, throwing beer in their faces would help the situation?

Once bright side, no one's thinking bout our game now are they?

After seeing another angle on that replay it shows artest being hit with a cup as well so I cant blame him for going ballistic,he was wrong though for going after a fan when he couldnt have seen who did it.That short fat kid that came out onto the floor must of had a death wish.Oneal got a running start before he decked him!

I have to admit I'm glad it happened to the Pacers. Everyone knows that is the WORST arena to play with the heckling getting beyond personal and even racist at times. Its been well documented. Granted its not the players fault but there is a little karma there.

All in all that was some scary stuff.
