It seems like all he needs is a mid rang jump shot from the elbow in. I thought he did a good job with Obi's minutes. He loves guarding out to the perimeter and even VanVleet couldn't get a step on Sims. Maybe we should look into a stretch 5 like Myles Turner

I'm thinking PG!

He is definitely able to guard the PF position. The only question is what can he provide on the O at the 4.

He can provide the same offensive output he’s doing now. The issue will be space. Need a stretch 5 to play along side him or RJ will be running into his own man in half court sets. Cause sims rarely goes outside the 3 pt line on offense.

I think he still needs to learn the ins and outs of the center position first (rotations, coverages etc.) Defensively I think he already cover some matchups

More minutes for Obi would be a better option.

We have no scoring at the center position. Putting Sims at PF would give us a practically zero offense front court.

Even Euros think Obi is soft. Im not a hater, just not a believer Obi figures it out.

Thibs gives Obi the minutes, dont believe its unrealistic that he will match the offensive output of a frontcourt with Sims at PF. Obi looks like he's still getting back from that injury. Wont see him turn into a great defender, but I think he'll be better than he is post-injury. Just needs the minutes, hasnt been getting them.

Now's the time to try it. I think it's pretty clear that Hart and Sims can't replace Robinson by themselves. I thought the Hart and Sims pairings worked when Obi was out. If Knicks are going to get beat because they are expecting Hart and Sims to replace Robinson, the Knicks are going to lose a lot of games. So why not just give a super switch an athletic Randle/ Obi pairing and then bring the twin towers off the bench?
