Josh Richardson: I’m excited for Reddish to actually get a chance to hoop and grow somewhere.

I interpret that as he’s just anticipating a trade based on the rumors today.

Yeah nothing out there I see or hear. Smoke signals say he’s gone soon though. I don’t expect much back, maybe a second. Unless it’s part of a bigger trade but I don’t anticipate anything major or close. Trades are fun though!

He must really stink it up in practice. I thought he showed promise when given time.

On the flip side of the coin, now is the perfect time to extend him when his value has not been lower.
I don't get Cam Reddish's difficulties given all the physical tools he has at his disposal.
I thought at a minimum he would be Tim Thomas who was inconsistent but had some monster games for us with little help.
He is tall, very long wingspan, and quick down the court.
I just don't get why he is not working out here.
Curious how he does in another system under a different coach.
I think a lot of Knick fans suspect he is not being used correctly on the Knicks.
He seems like a hard worker, it is incredible he was lottery talent and is now only worth 2nd rounders..

Michael Sweetney
Jordan Hill
Frank
Knox
Lottery picks, all worthless.

Saw this on heavy.com

Kendrick Nunn Lakers’ ‘Best Trade Piece’

When Kendrick Nunn logged more than 14 minutes on January 4, it marked the start of a string in which he’s played 12-plus minutes for seven straight games, his longest such streak since May 2021. Nunn has been helped by the fact that both Lonnie Walker IV (knee) and Austin Reaves (hamstring) are out for at least two weeks with injuries, but the Lakers figure to have an added benefit from his return to action—Nunn is gaining traction as a trade target.

“He could help someone,” one executive told Heavy Sports. “But they need to show he is healthy. He’s got a very manageable contract ($5.25 million, expiring this summer) and they’re dying for size on that team. They’re not going to trade LeBron (James) or Anthony Davis obviously, so the best package they can put out there is Nunn and (Patrick) Beverley and one of their picks (in 2027 or 2029). Honestly, he is their best trade piece right now.”

Nunn missed all of last season with a nagging knee injury. Over his last seven games, he has averaged 11.4 points in 20.3 minutes. One big obstacle to moving him: He is a free agent this summer, as is Beverley, and teams are reluctant to give up much in a deal for either.

The Lakers have been pushing to acquire little-used Knicks wing Cam Reddish, and word is that Nunn would be a chip in that deal, with a third team potentially involved.

Nunn is 100% worth a look. He was great out of college before getting hurt. Like Cam was worth a good look so is Nunn.

We need length. We already have undersized guards. Unless he gets Deuce 6 mins.

I think this starting lineup needs a solid SF defender who can hit open shots. RJ should run the second unit. His SF defense is horrible lately.

I don't see the need for Nunn...

I like a trade getting Bullock and maybe Hardaway on the cheap if possible.

Hardaway's advanced ratings are,

Offensive Net Rating: 117.8
Defensive Net Rating: 113.3
Player Impact Estimate: 7.7

Fournier's advanced ratings are:

Offensive Net Rating: 110.2
Defensive Net Rating: 111.7
Player Impact Estimate: 5.3

Hardaway is an example of a player changing his rep. THJ's rookie season he was a bit of a Diva. Part of the reason he got shipped to Atlanta. A few years with Budhenholzer, and he became a different player. More mature, more of a leader. Hardaway admitted his lack of maturity, his first time with the Knicks in interviews.

I was really PO'd that Mills brought him back, and for that price. But aside from the overpay, THJ did surprise me. He was a different player. Took more charges than anyone in the league at the time.

Why In more open to bringing back players who maybe messed up their first time around. Was real PO'd they brought back Jared Jeffries as well, but he was a better, more effective player his last time here.

I liked JJ so much I based my whole bb game on his. No joke. Only now, 1O years later, have I sprinkled some Time Duncan in there with the baby bank shot

JJ could play D and rebound. But there were too many times he would have the ball alone under the rim, and pass the ball out to the arc. Drove me crazy lol. But he was more aggressive his last stretch.

So bad, Look at the players we passed on Mitchell, SGA, Mikal Bridges, and Haliburton. We pick the wrong player every single time in the top 10

Heat showing interest in Reddish, what can a potential trade look like. The knicks need bench help on both ends of the court. Aside from a second rounder is there someone on the heat that the knicks can get that can help elevate the bench but more importantly will get Thibs go a head to get consistent minutes.

So basically you like to bumble the pass out of bounds and miss layups?

Looks like Rui Hachimura just got traded to the Lakers for Nunn. Scratch them off the potential suitors list. I thought Rui has anxiety issues. Seems a bad fit for him on the Lakeshow
Did Reddish just get traded?
