Our defense would be one of the best in the league if we can get him.

Isn’t that the point of getting guys like Caruso and Crowder ? Knicks basically have 4 guys who playmake and score, so you want to surround those guys with connecting pieces who impact the game without the ball. Grimes is the gold standard and it’s working, so I would think Caruso or crowder would work for the same reasons.

They can't get Grimes enough touches, and he tries to move w/o the ball & position himself for open 3s...They look away from him too many times. 15 assists for 40 baskets made the last 3 games. Guys stand around while our "big 3" go 1/1.

I've watched many more games this year, and our lack of team offense is glaring. Guys take too much time dribbling, and kicking the ball out seems to be an afterthought. I find it painful to watch at times. Even IQ seems to be buying into the 1/1 ball concept.

This kind of ball won't work against better teams, IMO.

We have a tough group of guys, but our offense devolves into "give me the ball and stand back" hero ball.

I'll also say that guys like Grimes, McBride, and Obi pass up shots at times, perhaps deferring to our big 3. Not a prescription for winning down the road.

Like 4th best in the league.

It's confounding. They pummel you and get offensive rebounds so maybe that's why the numbers are inflated? IDK

Grimes gets as many touches/ shots as he could get with almost any team in the nba. He’s a second year player who isn’t really a creator yet. Knicks aren’t limiting him in any way in my opinion.

I did see that we were ranked #5 in the league the other day, & it surprised me.

Don't get me wrong, this team is gritty, but Brunson, Randle, and RJ are going to be dead by the end of the season, & we will suffer if someone like Grimes only takes 5 shots in an overtime game.

A pet peeve...watching folks give up the ball to Randle to slowly bring it up the court after a defensive rebound. Why should he be ball handling like a PG.

Are there stats on how soon we get a shot off...or how many people handle the ball before we shoot? Lots of dribbling by us, not enough passing.
