After last nights emotional high can the Knicks bring it again?

According to the NY Post: Mavs C Erick Dampier (hip) is out tonight.

Dampier is out? That should help the Knicks.

What do you think about giving JYD significant minutes off the bench to guard Dirk?

i didn't think we were ready to win on the road in the west yet. lucky for us, houston is also trying to get the kinks out of their system and we matched up well against them.

to think we'll win back to back against a guy playing like the mvp right now and a team that likes to get up and down will be a tall order to fill.

prospects don't look good but we'll see how it plays out.

jyd on dirk is a good idea. i think sweetney should get some burn tonight, especially after kurt and nazr played so hard yesterday.

let's see if tim's struggles continue. he is in one major league slump...

I say Dirk toasts him by shooting over him.

He only has a 2 inch height advantage on Dirk. Kurt and JYD are really are only two players who can guard him because TT's got something obviously wrong with him right now. Are other PF/Cs are too slow and our SFs are way too short to guard him. I think Kurt and JYD can do okay against him. I think they can handle him better than Jason Terry can handle Marbury.

I'd like to see us exploit Dirk on the other end. Match him up with whoever's hurting him most when we're on O.

Dampier and Finley out, Jason Terry is questionable...hopefully we can ride the momentum from last nights game and steal one tonight

I like the idea of jyd on dirk.

I'm not expecting to win this one like I expected the Knicks to beat Houston but I think they can steal another one!

This game has "blowout" written all over it. The Knicks got one that I didn't think they would pull out yesterday. But, I doubt they can duplicate it against one of the best teams in the league. Just show up. I'd like them to just play hard for 48 minutes. If they do, I'll happily accept whatever result comes our way.

so long as Chaney err... I mean Lenny doesnt play a zone we can stay in the game. These are the nights you really need your guys like Marbury to play over their head.

Even though the Knick didnt play that well against the Rockets I hope they at least learned that if you play your ass off for 48 even if your not playing well you will have a chance to win.

The law of averages is on TT's side. Perhaps he finally breaks out and scores 25 points. Sweetney had an off night against Houston, and will likely bounce back tonight. My guess is that the game will be close until the final buzzer.

I think TT has hit rock bottom he can only get better now. Sitting on the bench the entire 4th quarter and watching Penny and Ariza perform the way they did has to have awaken Fu! There's a good chance he'll have a good game either today or next game. I don't want to bench him just yet because then his value will really go down.

This game is going to be interesting. KNicks just came off of a good effort game, but can they continue to do it 2 nights in a row.

This can be a very telling game.

Dallas is lights out.. they are the working model for how to spend but still supplement your roster using the draft. Watch Deven Harris, Marquis Daniels and Josh Howard. Good players. They have an ultra deep and talented team, and they play well together. Usually the only way the lose is if they dont shoot well. Can we force turnovers and slow down the game by getting to the line? We will see.

Hopefully yesterday gives them some confidence.

If this Knicks can pull this one out, it will be 2 out of 3 from Texas. I would be stunned until Thanksgiving.

I'm saying no D in this game.

They have 3 starters out. If it was us, there would be moaning here that could be heard throughout the Internet. with 3 starters down we should win, bottom line. if we cant beat them with 3 starters down, how do we win when they are full strength? finley=better than houston than take out Jason terry and Dampier. Sean bradley and a rookie replacing them. we should win this game.

Tonight, Lenny will need to come out with a different lineup. Some how and some way Lenny has to make one adjustment that is badly needed. TT must come off the bench until he finds his stroke. He continues to hurt us out there and it is not fair to the other guys to allow this kid all of the chances that he has been given so far. Adjustment that must be made is as such, JYD, KURT, AND Naser should be our starting front-court. JYD will need to guard Stackhouse, because he has been playing really well as of late. Kurt can handle Dirk with Naser and JYD rotating to provide some help defense. Marburry has to be Marburry tonight. What I saw last night is really not Marburry's style. Yes we won, but that passive mode will endup hurting us in the long run. My lineup for tonight would be as such:

Marb
Crawf
JYD
Kurt
Naser

Penny
Ariza
TT
Sweet
Vinny or Sundov.

We need to end this trip on a positive note. We can't afford to tolerate the type of performance that TT has been given us. I am one of his biggest supporters, but I also want to win. When he finally figures out the game again, I will be inclined to put him back as our SF. However, if the guy that we have in his spot plays well and help us win games, keep him at that position.

What about that Ariza kid? This dude is an awesome talent.

they have a ton of depth, Dirk, Stackhouse, Devin Harris, Daniels, Howard, they have some big bodies up front. Even with Dampier and Finley out its a formidle team on the road.

Its not exactly like the Knicks are in midseason form

Dirk is still awesome, they have a lot of depth, and it's a road game. It would be a great road win--nothing to downplay.
