1 f-g who can score 10-14
And an upgrade over hartenstein to relief Mitch

We don’t need to overspend to acquire.

Reddish and some of those other team picks Shouod do it. If we need more salary—rose. I’m also willing to give up sims/ McBride for the right guys

Yes we very much need a wing that can score but not play himself off the floor on the other end. I won’t force it via trade but will want to find that player soon or in the offseason. Guys along the lines of Oubre, Josh hart, Chris Duarte, Josh Richardson. There’s 4 guys who fit the bill as examples who may be avail via trade or free agency this summer.

Right now we have more players than minutes, especially when Obi comes back (and RJ of course). I think trades would be about an upgrade or better fit, but some bodies would need to be heading out. So who? What do you get for MBride or Cam. With picks I guess....

I like all those players, but I wouldn't consider them a need. The team scoring could improve, but is it an urgency? I do think they need a bigger combo/ forward type. I don't know how much Robert Covington has in the tank, but I would consider him for a few spot minutes off the bench.

You wouldn't feel fine just leaving Sims in as the Mitch replacement and trading Hart? Personally, I'm fine with Hart and feel things will sort themselves once Obi returns

Nets have perhaps found a way to play 10. Maybe it is something we should expect from Thibs?

Agree we have depth. It would be insane and wrong to trade McBride.

Nets are healthy. No team stays that way.

“The right guys”. Its easy to say “We should/could get better”. hard part is actually doing it.
Cam is obviously not the right guy. Or Evan, and perhaps Drose. Another team, another system they can be.
For the most part this team is not dysfunctional and I’d say are well coached at times playing over there heads. LIke they did two years ago. Id say that 4th seed we got was COTY thibs having his team well prepared than more talented ones.
That was then. This is now.

Nets make more noise losing then winning. KD makes a case for MVP.

With recent rumor of Knicks discussing Obi with Indy ——-

I could be interested in something like Obi/other piece for either Nesmith/Duarte and maybe I-Jackson or J-Smith.

We lose Obi but add young 2/3 and young defensive minded 4.

Duarte and protected pick would be OK. I know his shooting his down, but he's coming off of injury and the Pacers have a crowded wing situation. I'd still prefer if the team brought in another combo forward.

I can see the Knicks moving Obi for Duarte and playing Barrett as backup 4 with the bench of IQ/ deuce/ Duarte and hart or sims. Knicks value Duarte as worth 2 first round picks. We know that. And he’s got a rookie contract a year longer than Obi.

The Hartstein/Sims thing is messing up teams. sims guards smaller perimieter players when they cause a switch.
Can't say its permanent, but its fun!
Duarte not playing well is not good enough reason to dump him. Teams have plans and the kid is a glue type player. If he don't fit in the plan, then perhaps.
Anyone follow the pacers here and can say whats up?
