Starting Rose would be a bad idea because the first few minutes of a game unsually starts pretty fast. Injuries are more likely when a player is spent. Rose coming in when the tempo is a bit slower works for him, at this stage in his career.
Even though I was wrong about Rose's importance to the team this season. Other players have stepped up. I still believe contenders would be interested, if Rose isnt hurt, or worn down. Starting Rose increases the chance of the latter. Even if Rose doesnt finish a game.
