toronto is only getting ripped off because VC = $$$$$$ sar can average 20/10 in the right situation. jalen rose = overrated, derek anderson = good but always injured. Yeah I suspect #1's are heading TOR's way if this trade goes through..

They also said that if they trade V.Carter that Rose would have to be included. Van excel contract along with Rahim matches Carter and Rose , but if anderson is included instead of Vanexcel a throw in would have to be included. STAY TUNED
P.S TORONTO said they are doing it to get cap space for next yr.

Cap space is the *only* reason Toronto should even consider this trade

REALGM reports at 7:30 pm(I scooped them 7:00pm) Vince Carter worked hard this summer on a new offensive move: the Quit and Pout. His perseverence may grant him his wish: a one-way ticket out of Toronto.
Multiple sources report that Portland and Toronto are in serious talks that could result in a blockbuster trade. Reports indicate Carter and Jalen Rose (a max salary the Raptors would like to scrub off their salary cap) and two other unnamed Raps would go to Portland in exchange for Shareef Abdur-Rahim (in the last season of his contract), Derek Anderson and Vlad Stepania. Roger Mason and Milt Palacio, two minimum salaried Raptors, may be the other players in the talks.
TSN reports the Raptors have asked for Nick Van Exel (another expiring pact) instead of Anderson.

doesent make sense... cap room for who??? who the hell wants to play in toronto? lol
raps gettin ripped off, how about TT for Rose?
agreed...if they make that trade, they'll be left w/Chris Bosh, Donyell Marshall & nothing else assuming they want to use that cap space to try & sign a bigname FA...who the hell would want to sign there?

We should try to jump in if we know that Toronto simply wants to save money. How about Tim Thomas for Jalen Rose and Toronto's 1st rd pick this summer? Toronto and Portland can still do the Shareef and Vince part of the trade and I'd assume Toronto would rather have TT for 2 years than Derek Anderson for 3 years.
Rose is owed $47 mil; TT is owed $26 mil. If we do this trade, we're basically paying them $21 mil for their #1 pick (which would probably be a lottery pick).
