I must say it took him a lot longer than it should have but Thibs has definitely been trying to find the best rotation and he deserves credit for that. Sitting Evan and Rose had to be hard for him due to his history. From last season even with a small sample size Quick and McBride had both some of the best advanced stats for our team. Now that they are getting good minutes its nice too see it still holds true. Both have had their troubles scoring but even with those troubles if your advance stats still looks good then you are doing everything else right. With more consistent time McBride will hit more open shots. Say what you want about the G-League but an open 3 there is the same as an open 3 in the NBA. All he needs is enough time to be in rhythm and they will drop more frequently.

What's with these game threads? They used to be 8-10 pages long. And where is scorebot?

What did y'all think of Kai Jones? Had some strong plays. Looks like he can be the next Cam Reddish.

What’s the sentiment?

They want RJ to shoot. Every time they said he can’t shoot or that’s not Harts shot, they made it. Just interesting in general to watch a game like that. Plenty of compliments for JB and Mitch. Surprised at Randle hitting so many 3s.

They have my favorite broadcast team right behind Clyde and Breen. They call the game without being a couple of homers even though them pull for their team like ours do.

Times two. I think he really learned the hard way with Kemba last year that you have to go with lineups that work over how you feel about the players. The Knicks have looked really good since going with the shorter rotation in Utah.Over the first 13 games the Knicks were at -28. Over the past 13 they have been +55, or roughly -2 to +4.

The color is horrendous...

it was a city edition thing with “mint” color.
I was in the arena. the teal is a bit much too.
Not my favorite place to see a game, but……was not as bad inperson.
Looking at the twitter feeds here and it shows up more blue than in person.

The Knicks out-scored the Hornets in all 4 quarters.
Randle played 36 minutes and Barrett played 35 minutes against the number #1 BUM team in the NBA the Charllotte Hornets to build their stats record .. because they are BUST players!
Coach Thibs is not looking to improve the Knicks rotation!
Brunson gave Deuce McBride 23 minutes of playing time, not coach Thibs.
We all know Barrett & Randle never gave any of their backups playing time minutes in the past 4 years by averaging 36 minutes per game.
Is Cam Reddish a better 2-Way SF than Barrett? YES!
Does the Knicks have 5 bench players that can out-score opponents better than Tom Thibs starter lineup? YES!

Coach Tom Thibs does not want the 2nd unit bench lineup to out-shine the Knicks starter lineup again like they did the past two seasons.
Recall the Knicks last playoff win by D.Rose & Toppin stepping-up for the Knicks win. The next 3 games coach Thibs took starter PG Payton out of the rotation, replacing Payton with D.Rose at the starter PG.

What Tom Thibs actually did was reduce the Knicks rotation to 9 men having ONE PG player (32 yr D.Rose) in the rotation for 3 PLAYOFF games .. Did Thibs action improve the Knicks rotation ???

Three in a row and back to .500! The three point defense continues to be good (6/26). Kudos to Thibs for adjusting the pace. It's given players more energy to defend imo. Running up and down trying to outscore teams is not our style.

Randle is really in a good groove right now. He abused Washington and whoever the Hornets threw at him. Great game by RJ too! Looked much more fluid going to the hoop. Had a few dunks too and nice alleys to Hartenstein. Brunson struggled again shooting but he had 11 assists. Deuce finally got some shots to fall too.

This Randle I like.

He has been dominant lately — playing fast, aggressive and downhill.

Still would prefer a little less dribbling but you can see this guys has been developing his bag. When he turns over his right shoulder to finish around the hoop he is very tough there. On the flip side he’s become great at drawing reach in fouls on his jump shot gather and he’s making shots.

His biggest issue is his noggin (mental) but when he is right emotionally the guy is very skilled / athletic.

If we do ever trade him — big loss will be his physicality — he punishes guys offensively.

Hope he keeps it up — playing all star level recently.

Feels like McBride has gone through the same thing Obi did his first into second year with the hesitancy thing.

Anyone have a betting line on when we all get to see Grimes finish a layup with his left hand? I've never seen that from a player so dominantly before, especially considering how fundamental he seems.

Scorebot took a hit from COVID. And then a lot of people fell under the spell of mass formation psychosis, ScoreBot included. It still continues. America is under a spell... Stay woke lol
